Goan Reporter:SP. NORTH ISSUES PROHIBITORY ORDER

Panaji: March 04, 2026: District Superintendent of Police, North Goa District has ordered that no person or class of persons shall convene or collect as an assembly, shall take out any procession or stage any demonstration on the road, street or thorough fare and shall hold public meetings in view of thirteenth session of the eighth legislative Assembly session starting from March 06, 2026.

Except under and in accordance with the terms and conditions of license issued. Every such person or class of persons intending to convene or collect such assembly and take out processions/demonstrations individually, collectively or otherwise shall apply for a license well in advance to S.P. North.

However, in no case, procession, morcha, rally, dharna etc. shall be allowed within the radius of 500 meters around the Assembly Complex at Porvorim and areas under Panaji Police Station as promulgated U/s 163 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) by the District Magistrate, North Goa.

The order to be in force in the jurisdiction of Police Stations Porvorim and Panaji from March 06, 2026 till Thirteenth Session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly of the State of Goa, gets over.
