Office of the Superintendent of Police has issued prohibitory order in the jurisdiction of Police Stations Porvorim and Panaji from August 31, 2026 till Fourteenth Session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly of the State of Goa gets over.
No person shall take out any procession or stage any demonstration on the road, street or thorough fare, no person shall hold public meeting except under and in accordance with the terms and conditions of license issued and every such person or class of persons intending to convene or collect such assembly and take out processions/ demonstrations individually, collectively or otherwise shall apply for a license well in advance.
However, in no case, procession, morcha, rally dharma etc. shall be allowed within the radius of 500 meters around the Assembly Complex at Porvorim and area under Panaji Police Station as promulgated U/s 163 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) by the District Magistrate, North Goa.
