Department of Home (General) has ordered that all gaming operations at casinos in the State of Goa will remain closed on October 2, 2026 as a mark of respect and homage to the “Father of the Nation” Mahatma Gandhi.
All the casino licensees will stop the operation of the casinos in the Goa with effect from 00:00 hrs of October 2, 2026 (i.e., intervening midnight of October 1 and October 2, 2026) to 00:00 hrs of October 3, 2026 (i.е., intervening midnight of October 2 and 3, 2026) i.e., for the period of 24 hrs on October 2, 2026.
