Addressing media persons at the kala academy mr shegal said that there was a need for other states of the country to follow the example of goa where in there were areas which were under forest cover, sea scape and the beautiful rivers while the same in other states had destroyed their own survival assets

Commenting over the mining issues concerning to the state of goa Sahgal said that there was a need from the government side to put a ban of ten years on those who had done illegal mining and the government had to try and restore legal mining sites of the state

Sahgal also stated that if no mining sites were restored in to the state of goa as soon as possible then the first attack that could take place due to environment destruction was of water sources being destroyed due to which lot of health issues would come up in goa
