14/10/2015 …. Cumbarjua mla pandurang madkaikar have urged the state government to immediately provide alternate arrangements for the old goa residents whose houses are to be demolished in old goa for the construction of the national highway four lane  road going from panjim to ponda ..

on Tuesday locals from old goa area met the cumbarjua mla and brought to his notice about their grievances and fears of being homeless due to the nh4 passing through their houses and yet state government have been not been able to inform them as how they would be compensated for their losses …

speaking to media reporters cumbarjua mla pandurang madkaikar said that the pwd department had earlier promised the locals to give compensation as well as alternate land arrangements for the locals whose land was used for the construction of nh4a but till date government had not done anything for the locals due to which locals were living in a danger of what to do …

 

Meanwhile a local resident shanta naik asked state government to provide them with alternate land arrangements if they could or else warned not to allow her house being demolished for the nh4a purpose
