Panaji : May 15, 2025 :: The Directorate of Transport has compiled their monthly report of number of accidents that occurred and number of Challan issued for the month of April 2025. As per the report, there were 198 road accident of which 24 were Fatal Accident (North Goa – 12 and South Goa – 12), 15 Grievous Accidents (North Goa – 7 and South Goa – 8), 43 Minor Accidents (North Goa – 13 and South Goa – 30) and 116 Non – Injury Accidents (North Goa – 51 and South Goa – 65).
The total number of persons who lost their live in road accident were 26 (North Goa – 12 and South Goa – 14), 17 people were Grievous Injured (North Goa – 08 and South Goa – 09), while 76 persons suffered Minor Injuries (North Goa – 18 and South Goa – 58).
Of those who lost their lives 17 were Riders (North Goa – 09 and South Goa – 08), 04 P/Riders (South Goa), and 05 Pedestrian (North Goa –03 and South Goa – 02).
