12-07-2013 … A day after multiple blasts rocked the Mahabodhi temple in BodhGaya, Bihar, the state tourism department has alerted the state police officials along with the 170 odd officials of the reserve force battalion to closely monitor the movements of tourists in and around the various tourist spots in and around the state.

it may be noted that the state of goa receives lakhs of tourist from all over the world round the year and with such incidents of multiple blasts taking place at certain place in other past of the country the state tourism taking no chances has alerted the goan security officials to keep a strict vigil on each and every tourism spot

 Speaking to goanreporter tourism minister dilip parulekar said that the stae chief minister manohar parrikar who was also the state home minister was aware of such incidents taking place around the country and had also taken precautionary measure to take care of any untoward incident

 Parulekar said that as a tourism minister of the state he was about to attend a meet workshop called on by the central tourism minister dr chiranjeevi where in issues of state tourism security and ladies security would be discussed by various state tourism ministers of the country

Parulekar also gave information about his meet with the central tourism minister dr chiranjeevi where in projects of worth 400 crores of rupees were discussed for the state tourism
