June 03, 2019, Panaji … The Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant said the Goa Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) have played a very significant role in the industrial growth and economic development of the State. He was speaking at the 4th South India MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) Summit which was held in Dona Paula, recently.
Dr Sawant highlighted the positive impact of initiatives such as the Make in India, Digital India, which he said has helped in economic growth.
Speaking further he lauded leadership of the Goa State Industries Association (GSIA) in making the MSME sector vibrant in Goa.
Earlier, the Chairperson of the South India MSME Joint Action Committee (JAC), Shri Basavaraj Javali informed that the decisions arrived after the deliberations at the Summit will be conveyed to the appropriate Government authorities so that an eco-system is created for MSMEs to flourish. The President of the GSIA, Shri Raj Kumar Kamat said that the MSME associations were extremely hopeful of getting a positive response from the authorities.
