The Sessions Court has postponed the hearing in the rape case filed against Dr. Samuel, who owns a clinic in Chinchinim and is accused of sexually assaulting a staff nurse. Locals have demanded that authorities shut down the clinic. Dr. Samuel was associated with the Aam Aadmi Party. When questioned, MLA Cruz Silva clarified that while Samuel had joined AAP events, he was never officially a member of the party. Silva further stated that politics should not be dragged into such serious matters and called for thorough investigation into similar pending cases, including those involving MLAs from the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party.
