Goan Reporter: Parish Youth Nuvem Defeat Davorlim to Enter Quarterfinals

St John the Baptist Panchayat Ground, Benaulim – Parish Youth Nuvem stormed into the quarterfinals of the Benaulim Villagers Cup with a hard-fought 1–0 win over Sporting Club Davorlim in a thrilling encounter. Nuvem asserted dominance early on, controlling possession through midfield duo Jonas Colaco and Alvito Dias. Their pressure paid off in the 22nd minute when Albino smashed a thunderous strike into the top-left corner, leaving the Davorlim goalkeeper rooted. The second half saw Nuvem push for a second goal to seal the game, but Davorlim responded with intensity. Ajay Raj came closest to equalising in the 42nd minute, only to be denied by a brilliant save from Nuvem custodian Selfon Dias. Despite a late surge from Davorlim, Nuvem’s disciplined defence held firm to secure a place in the last eight.
