Goan Reporter: Agxem SC Clinch 7-a-side Interward Cup at Curtorim

Agxem Sports Club defeated Pidadigal Sports Club 2-0 in the finals to lift the 7-a-side Interward Cup organised by St. Alex Parish Youth Curtorim, held at the St. Alex Church Ground, Curtorim on Sunday. Both teams displayed attacking football, but it was Agxem who capitalised, with Alroy Gomes scoring in the first half and Jovial Martins netting in the second. Chief Guest Fr. Victor Viegas presented the prizes in the presence of Fr. Manuel Dias, Fr. Michael, Fr. Santario, Rui Menezes and other dignitaries. Special awards included: Inaugural Goal – Gilbert Fernandes (Corjem), First Scorer – Fredy Hilario (Eklate), Highest Scorer – Aliston Fernandes (Pidadigal), Senior Most Player – Leonard Almeida (St. Anthony), Youngest Promising Player – Shenoy (Batora), Best Goalkeeper of Tournament – Lester Dias (St. Anthony), First Scorer of Final – Alroy Gomes (Agxem), Best Goalkeeper of Final – Agnelo Gomes (Agxem), and Man of the Match (Final) – Alroy Gomes (Agxem).
