Goa is set to celebrate its rich monsoon heritage with the Purumentache Fest 2026, scheduled from May 1 to May 3, 2026, at the Multiplex Courtyard, Panaji. The three-day festival, organised by the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), aims to showcase the State’s cultural richness while providing a dedicated platform for local artisans, self-help groups, entrepreneurs, and food vendors.

The festival will feature a wide range of traditional Goan monsoon-related products, including dry fish, spices, agricultural produce, traditional sweets, pottery, kitchen essentials, and locally extracted oils. Visitors will also be able to explore seasonal offerings such as raw mango, kokum, cashew-based products, and other indigenous items that highlight Goa’s distinct cultural and culinary identity.

The initiative is focused on strengthening local livelihoods by enabling direct market access for Goan vendors and artisans. It also promotes community participation while giving visitors an opportunity to experience authentic traditions and support local producers.

Stalls for the festival will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested participants may apply through the ESG office or visit the official website for further details.
