The ‘Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) Next: Exploring New Opportunities event’ will be held on May 8, 2026, at Gokul Hall, Sankhali, from 9:30 AM onwards. The initiative is centred on encouraging entrepreneurship and strengthening the MSME ecosystem in Goa by enhancing awareness about business support avenues and growth opportunities.
Organised under Udyog Sangam by the Department of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC), Government of Goa, the workshop is designed for both aspiring and existing entrepreneurs. Participants will receive guidance on various Government schemes, institutional support mechanisms, and initiatives available for enterprise expansion and operational development.
The sessions will cover subjects related to business financing, market access, enterprise management, and industry support frameworks. Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), a flagship initiative promoting self-employment and micro-enterprises, will be a key focus area during the programme.
The event will be attended by Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant; Shri Ashvin Chandru, IAS, Director, Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce, Government of Goa; Shri D. R. Johari, IEDS, Deputy Director, MSME DFO Goa, Ministry of MSME, Government of India; Shri D.
