The Directorate of Social Welfare has informed that they will be accepting applications of Centrally Sponsored Schemes through online mode on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) https://scholarships.gov.in and State Schemes through online mode on cmscholarship portal i.e https://cmscholarship. goa.gov.in for the financial year 2026-27.
The name of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes are Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme to SC (IX &X) and Others (Component II); Post Matric Scholarship to SC Students (PM YASASV); Pre Matric Scholarship to OBC/EBC/DNTs Students (PM YASASVI) (IX & X) and Post Matric Scholarship to OBC/EBC/DNTs Students (PM YASASVI)
The Directorate of Social Welfare also implements following Centrally Sponsored Schemes belonging to SC communities through online mode on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) https://scholarship.gov.in in the State of Goa. The Scholarship Potral will be opened from June 6, 2026 for applying for the scholarship.
The Directorate of Social Welfare also implements the following Centrally Sponsored Schemes for OBC/EBC/DNTs and State Schemes for SC/OBC/EBC/ through online mode on cmscholarship Portal i.e https://cmscholarship. goa.gov.in
The State Schemes implemented by Directorate of Social Welfare includes Merit Based Award and recognition of high performance in the Board Exam of SSC and HSSC in the State of Goa, (SC community); Merit Based Award and recognition of high performance in the Board Exam of SSC and HSSC in the State of Goa, (Dhangar Community); Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana (Dhangar Community); Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana (SC community); Saral vidya Sahay Scheme for SC Community (V to VIII); Saral vidya Sahay Scheme for OBC Community (V to VIII); Kanya Dhan for SC Communities and Scholarship to students pursuing Home Nursing courses.
The last date for applying for the scholarship through the portal ie National Scholarship Portal (NSP) https://scholarships.gov.in and State Portal i.e https://cmscholarship. goa.gov.in is November 30, 2026 for the students. It is further instructed to all the Institute Nodal Officers (INOs) that, proper instructions shall be given to the students with regards to uploading the documents as most of the students upload Xerox copies of the mandatory documents which is not permissible. Therefore students may be informed that in case of xerox copies the same will not be accepted. Also it is observed that, some students for applying on the NSP Portal also apply on the other scheme. Therefore INOs should keep note of this, failing which the concerned INOs will be held responsible. INOs are to further note that authenticity of the uploaded documents with the original documents should be verified at their level.
All the Schools/Institutions/Colleges shall verify applications of the students online and submit the applications online on or before December 5, 2026 to the Department. All the students who are applying for the scholarships are to ensure Aadhar seeding is mandatory for releasing the scholarship amount.
In view of the above it is informed that, the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) will remain open till November 30, 2026 for the students for applying for the Scholarship schemes and December 5, 2026 for the INOs to resubmit the applications to the Department. It may strictly be noted that, no further extension of date will be entertained.
