Department of Home (General) has extended the continuity of the scheme to bestow the benefits under Clause 3 (c) for prevalent reservation of 2% points for the children of registered freedom fighters under Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ based on roster points which will be continue for posts filled through GPSC from March 1, 2026 till February 28, 2027.
Home Department has also notified that the scheme will be valid for further period from March 01, 2026 to February 28, 2027 or till the last candidate of 79 registered children of freedom fighters in the Home Department get sponsored for the employment.
The Government originally introduced the scheme for providing employment in Government to the children of freedom fighters as announced in the Budget Speech 2013-14.
Now the Government desired for the continuity of the scheme to extend benefits to the children of freedom fighters registered with the Home Departments.
