The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will be  celebrating its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years  (1975-2025) of its significant contribution to the field of school education in Goa on August 22, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. onwards at Indishila  Hall,  Mushtifund High School, Cujira, Bambolim.

 

Director of Art and Culture, Shri Vivek  Naik will be the Chief guest for the function, while Manager of Mushtifund Sausthan, Shri Dhilip  Dharwadkar will be the guest of honour.

 

As part of the year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Board will be organizing a vibrant folk dance performance, “Lok Kala Darshan” showcasing the rich cultural heritage, traditional art forms and folk traditions of Goa.  12 school and higher secondary schools from different parts of Goa will  perform on the theme of School History Book Std –X.

The performance will bring together students and artists to present the colorful and diverse folk culture of Goa through traditional dance, music and costumes.

The Golden Jubilee celebration is an important milestone in the history of the Goa Board. Over the past five decades, the Board has played a vital role in conducting public examinations and strengthening the quality of secondary and higher secondary education in the State.

The “Lok Kala Darshan” folk dance performance is intended not only to celebrate this significant milestone but also to provide a platform for students to appreciate, preserve and promote Goa’s rich cultural traditions.
