Panaji, May 20, 2018 … The Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India has allocated one seat each for the state of Goa at Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT), Salem, Tamil Nadu (Govt. of India), Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT), Kannur, Kerala (Govt. of Kerala) and at Karnataka Handloom Technology Institute (KHTI), Gadag, Karnataka (Govt. of Karnataka) for undergoing three years Diploma Course in Handloom and Textile Technology (DHTT).
To join the course one must be a citizen of Goa for 15 years must pass 10th standard or equivalent with English, should be between the age of 15 to 23 years for General candidates and 15 to 25 years for SC/ST candidates as on 01st July 2018.
The candidate will be given stipend of Rs.1000/- pm, Rs.1100/- and Rs.1200/- pm. during the three years respectively, for 10 months each year.
