It may be noted that recently Chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar had indicated that his government would devolve more powers to zilla panchayats in Goa after the zp elections were held but had declined to give details as what type of powers would they be due to the prevalent code of conduct

While zp members had criticized the state government for not giving certain powers for the functioning of zilla panchayat in the state

Wagh said that leaving certain mla’s like him it was sad that there were no one who was betting for the powers to be given for the zilla panchayats in the state of goa

Wagh also stated that most of the state mla’s were feared of zp members fearing that after getting elected a zp members could contest the next assembly elections against a concerned mla’s due to which there was still a debate on giving more powers to zp members

sources had stated that mr wagh who was recently seen sharing a dias with defence minister Manohar Parrikar along with chief minister Parsekar and other bjp mla would soon be once again given the post of the kala academy chairmanship once again

though Wagh denied about being offered the kala academy chairman post once again he said that he was treated very well by the current chief minister and had no issue with him
