It may be noted that Prime Minister narendra modi on last Saturday had asked the goa BJP’s state unit to take advantage of information technology for strengthening the party in Goa.

The Prime Minister, who had served as BJP’s organizing secretary, has urged BJP workers to have an online membership drive for one or two months to enroll new members in the BJP.

Speaking to media reporters gpcc president john Fernandes said that his party resent to prime minister giving a call to school children as 12-18 was not the age to involve school children’s in petty party politics and was highly objectionable

Fernandes said that such type of petty politics has never been done by his party who had the well orgainsed youth in place too and therefore pm giving a call to the youth on the platform of the prime minister’s office was not appropriate..

16/06/2014 … While the corporation city of Panjim are talking about initiating clean garbage management system for the city its own workers working at the site near the bio digester plant and garbage site near lic office are facing a tough time and are worried about their health conditions due to which the workers union have decided to approach the human rights commission over the issue of ccp not able to prive them with proper facilities for garbage cleaning …

It may be noted that more than 30 ccp workers are working at the bio digester plant and at the garbage site near lic at patto Panjim but for the past few months this workers have not been provided with the concerned facilities like proper masks, gloves, caps, glasses, gumboots, detergent and other health hygiene facilities while working at the site due to which the workers have now blamed ccp assistant engineer sachin ambe for not being able to provide the concerned facilities to the workers and ignoring to their demands …

It is also sad and surprising to note that even when the garbage site areas at patto have been close to the office of the goa state pollution control board the concerned pcb office have gone blind towards taking concern over the health conditions of the ccp workers who have to work in a bizarre manner at the site even when the stench of the patto garbage site is felt inside the pcb office and surroundings buildings too

Meanwhile one of the ccp worker also stated that the stink of the garbage was so bad that most of the cpc workers had to consume alcohol which carrying out their duty and even some of them had expired while carrying out their duty

It may be noted that earlier in May 2012, Arihant had submitted a report to the tourism department claiming that they had removed the ship in its entirety but later a subsequent survey done by NIO had established that substantial portions of the ship still remained under the sand.

Speaking to goanreporter director of tourism nikhil dessai said as work was still going on of removing the remaining debris of river princess and till date over 4000 tonnes of metal scrap was removed from the sea lying below the sea and goa shipyard limited was monitoring the whole process

Dessai said once goa shipyard had informed that the process was completed the department would ask the services of nio to conduct an underwater survey and then only could take a final decision of making a payment to the arihant contractors

Fonseca said that he had failed to understand as why there was a delay from the state government side to start legal mining activities in goa when the Supreme Court had given full power to the state government to start legal mining with proper guidelines

Fonseca also stated that there should be no politics in the mining issue and it had to resume as early as possible
