Addressing media persons at the party head office in panjim congress spokesperson reginaldo lourenco alleged that the present chief minister Manohar Parrikar who is also the chairman of the entertainment society of goa had given more preference to artist who were from outside the state instead of giving more preference to goan artist

In regard to the upcoming assembly session Reginaldo also alleged of the speaker of the state legislative assembly being bias to the opposition party mla’s of not allowing to give enough time for putting up their question in the assembly session

07-10-2013 … Tourism minister dilip parulekar on Friday denied that he was involved in any irregularities being done for regularizing his encroachment in serula communidade land

 It may be noted that the state Nationalist Congress Party on Thursday had demanded the resignation and sacking of Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar for fraudulently regularizing his encroachment on Serula Comunidade land. 

 NCP pointed out that on November 9, 2011 Parulekar made an application before Attorney of Serula Comunidade requesting to regularize the encroached area. 

 Accordingly, on December 4, 2011 the Attorney called for a general body meeting and resolved to regularize the said land as per article 380 (2) of the Code of Communidade by collecting amount in the form of value of the land. Rs 3.41 lakh were collected from the Minister as land price, NCP said. 

 The attorney then made an application to the Administrator of Comunidade, North and it was moved to Administrative Tribunal. On October 28, 2012, Minister was granted possession of land. 

 Speaking to goanreporter  tourism minister dilip parulekar said that for the last twenty years he has been fighting in the court for the possession of the land through legal procedures and the procedure of the same was done many years back

 Meanwhile NCP spokesperson trojano demello on Friday urged Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to sack the cabinet minister and initiate an inquiry into the land grabbing case, failing which the party would approach Goa Lokayukta. 

 Trojano said that the Attorney of Serula Comunidade, who is also Panchayat secretary and the Administrator of Comunidade, North, was also working as Under Secretary tourism, has blatantly misused government powers favouring Parulekar in the grabbing of land admeasuring 599 sq mtrs.

Singh also said that there was a need for the state to think if two events could be handled at one time like sunburn or goa mix grind festival and why certain people were insisting of organizing events at same time

Meanwhile tourism minister dilip parulekar said that the final decision would be taken by the single window committee of the tourism department which would be held in the next week

Addressing media persons at the launching of the lusofonia games 2014 official website at the conference hall at the secretariat at porvorim chief minister Manohar Parrikar said that the functional areas would be ready by 24^th of this month while the infrastructure set up would take a bit of time to get completed due to heavy rains lashing in to the state of goa

Parrikar said that 110 crore budgetary for the games infrastructure would be released in a period of over 12 months

Parrikar also criticized the erstwhile congress led government for utilizing the lusofonia games money for unwanted reasons

01-10-2013 … The recent statements of legalizing prostitution in the state made by a senior police officials seems to have not gone well with the state political leaders who have criticized the concerned police officials being unaware of goa’s ancient culture while at the same time chief minister staying away from the state has in turn said to ask the concerned police officer over the remarks ….

Speaking over the issue on a day when the country paid respect to the father of the nation mahatma gandhi on his 144^th birth anniversary chief minister Manohar Parrikar denied commenting anything over the issue stating that the statements made by the concerned police officers were of her own and one had to ask the same to the concerned police officer and not to him

South goa mp Francisco sardinha said that prostitution should be banned and such statements things could be bad for the society and therefore felt that chief minister should have reprimand the police officer for making such statements

Cooperation minister and mgp president Deepak dhavlikar said that his mgp party was not ready to accept such statements as such things should not be in goa and also should not come as goa

St andre mla Vishnu surya wagh said that such statements had upset every goan and therefore he had written a letter to dig with certain fears in his mind

Meanwhile cumbarjua mla pandurang madkaikar said that he was unaware as what type of an idea the senior police officer had in her mind as in a state like goa such things could not be tolerated in the state

30-09-2013 … As a part of its entry tax concessional pass system the state government would implement pass system within the next fifteen days to vehicle entering in to the state daily with a discount amounting to around 40%

It may be noted that the state government had recently imposed entry tax on vehicles registered outside Goa fixed with an entry tax of `100 for three-wheeler vehicles per trip, while the same for four-wheeler cars was `250 per trip, for the tempo vehicles was `500 per trip, and for trucks it was `1,000 per trip.  The two-wheelers are exempted from the entry tax.

Later the government had announced of issuing concessional passes to vehicles daily entering in the state but has not yet been implemented till date

Speaking to goanreporter pwd minister sudhin dhavlikar said there was no issue of entry tax to be discussed at any level as the implementation of entry tax on goan borders would help the state government to construct good roads in goa

 Dhavlikar said that the state government would implement pass system within the next fifteen days time which would give almost around 40% discount to vehicles entering in to the state daily
