Goan Reporter News: Practice Firing/ Gun trials
The Naval Coast Battery, Mormugao will carry out Practice firing of 105 mm Light Field Gun and 40/60 Anti Air Guns from Mormugao, Headland, Sada, Goa between 9.00 am to 1.00 pm on January 13, 2023. The Danger Zone lies within an area bounded by 220◦ to 260◦ from Mormugao Headland Flag Staff position up to a distance of 15 Nautical miles to seaward and up to height of 7,100 Mtrs. In this regard necessary warning to shipping, harbour craft and other vessels be promulgated to keep clear of danger areas on the above mentioned date.
Goan Reporter News: Upgradation of url for Pre & Post Matric Scholarship schemes
The Directorate of Social Welfare has informed that the Department had developed State Portal www.swportal.goa.gov.in. for Pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship for SC/OBC/EBC and DNT is now an upgraded secured URL as https://swportal.goa.gov.in. The concerned students of various schools/colleges/Institutions registered with competent authority will have to apply for the Pre and Post Matric Scholarship through the new URL. (i.e. https://swportal.goa.gov.in.)
The last date to apply for the scheme is January 15, 2023 and the Institutions will have to scrutinize the same and send the applications to the Directorate of Social Welfare on or before January 18, 2023 through an online portal. The portal will not be accessible beyond the said date under any circumstances.
Department has further requested all Educational institutions to spread awareness about the URL among the students to ensure that a large number of students apply for the scheme through the scholarship Portal.
