This includes ensuring that no rainwater is accumulated in the cargo hold of the barges and the water so collected should be drain out regularly from the barges. Water accumulated in the vessel should be removed/drained out regularly.  The owners should  ensure that the labourers engaged to work on the trawlers/vessels or at the jetties need to be screened for Malaria and should obtain health cards for them from the Directorate of Health Services. The owner/incharge of docks, ship manufacturering, repair yards should ensure that the labourers engaged in workshop/docks, need to be screened for Malaria and that  health cards are obtained for them from the Directorate of Health Services.  Similarly, in the case of labourers engaged in workshop/docks. The owners/ incharge of docks, ship manufacturer, repair yards must  ensure that no rain water is  accumulated in the yards / docks area.
