The Additional District Magistrate cum Adjudicating Officer, North has disposed off three Adjudication cases filed by the Food Safety Officers of the Directorate of FDA and has imposed fines as under:
Cashewnuts (Goa Kaju) for having Sub – Standard for containing Speckled and spotted (Black & Brown) kernels more than the maximum Permissible limit pertaining to party Shri. Ranaram Patel, (Proprietor) M/s. Patel Kaju Traders, K.H.H. Shop No 5, Gaura Wada Calangute Bardez and Shri. Hamiraram Desai, (Vendor) M/s. Patel Kaju Traders, K.H.H. Shop No 5, Gaura Wada Calangute Bardez has imposed the penalty of Rs. 25,000/-
Similarly, Cashewnuts for having Sub – Standard for containing rancid kernels, Shrivelled, Speckled and spotted (Black & Brown) with presence of added flavor & taste and showing presence of testa and insects damage and free fatty acid more that the maximum permissible limit. Misbranded for failing to display FSSAI logo License no. and batch no. on label pertaining to party Shri. Birbal Bishnoi, M/s Chandra Cashew House no. 4/497, Shop No.31, Naika Vaddo, Calangute Bardez and Shri. Kamlesh Bishnoi, M/S Chandra Cashew House no. 4/497, Shop No. 3, Naika Vaddo, Calangute Bardez and Shri. Laburam, M/s Zentix Cashew and Dry Fruits Opp. Wellness forever Pharmacy, Parab vaddo, Calangute Bardez has imposed the penalty of Rs. 20,000/-.
