Calangute Police arrests three mobile snatchers, recovers 6 mobile phones and on HP laptop all worth Rs. 150000/- approximately.
Accused namely 1) Majidor Molla S/o Fajirol Rehman Molla, Age 35 yrs, R/o Oldgoa, N/o West Bengal, 2) Johrul Alam Mulla S/o Mujanmal Mulla, Age 27yrs, R/o Near Saturday Market Calangute, N/o West Bengal, and 3) Saiful Alam S/o Mujanmul Mandal, Age 22yrs, R/o Khorawado Baga, N/o Dakshin Dinajpur West Bengal were detained on suspicion and arrested under section 41 Cr.P.C.
Upon thorough interrogation these accused admitted to have committed the crime of mobile theft of the tourist visiting Calangute. Thereafter upon technical surveillance of mobile and instance of accused recovered 06 mobile phones and 01 Laptop all worth Rs. 1,50,000/- approximately.
A special team of Calangute Police Station consisting of HC-4936 Shri Vidhyanand Amonkar, PC-7117 Bhagwan Palyekar, PC-7119 Ganpat Tiloji, PC-6118 Amir Garad and PC-7106 Akash Naik recovered 06 mobile phones and one Laptop from suspected accused persons
Further investigation into this case is in progress under the Supervision of PI Calangute Shri Dattaguru K Sawant, under the guidance of and SDPO Porvorim Shri Vishwesh Karpe
