Calangute Veterans secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Vasco Veterans to advance to the quarterfinals of the 10th Fatorda Veterans Football Tournament, organized by Fatorda Veterans at Don Bosco Oratory Ground, Fatorda, on Friday. Both teams played an attacking game, with Vasco’s Jhon setting up Fr. Franky Fernandes early in the match, but his volley missed the target. Calangute Veterans took the lead before halftime when Seby Vaz found the net from inside the box. In the second half, Calangute Veterans extended their lead through Paresh Korgaonkar, sealing their spot in the quarterfinals. Seby Vaz was named Man of the Match and received the award from Cony Miranda.
