The killing of 26 innocent tourists created anger across all communities in India. In fact, the grief and anger was so thick that the Sancoale Panch Shri Santosh Desai could feel it amongst the residents of his ward in Vidyanagar near M.E.S College, Dabolim. So, he along with retired professor Basavaraj S. Ingalhalli and the Rastriya Hindu Vahini Sangh, organized a candle light march. This helped channel people’s anger into the candle flame. Community elders spoke of peace and requested that residents allow the govt. to take action. The residents prayed for the dead and dispersed peacefully.
