Panaji: November 27, 2025::Executive Engineer, Works Division-XV(NH) PWD, Ponda-Goa, has ordered ban for heavy vehicles on Borim Bridge from November 29, 2025 to November 30, 2025 from 8am (Saturday) to 8am (Sunday) at Ponda side. Similarly, Heavy Vehicles will be banned on December 6, 2025 to December 7, 2025 from 8am (Saturday) to 8am (Sunday) at Margao side. The Order has been issued as the PWD has taken up repairs to old Borim Bridge and some critical activities of replacement of spherical bearings requiring vibration free and controlled lifting environment are pending for which there is an urgent need for diversion of heavy vehicular traffic to facilitate hindrance free and speedy completion of the balance repair/ rehabilitation work. During the bridge closure, traffic proceeding from Ponda to Margao and from Margao to Ponda will be diverted along the available routes in consultation with Traffic Police.
