Panaji: April 28, 2026::The Directorate of Art & Culture will be organising final presentation of Indian Folk and Tribal Dances under the workshop of “Indian Folk & Tribal Dances” on April 29, 2026 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao from 8.30 am onwards.Minister for Art & Culture, Shri. Ramesh Tawadkar will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, alongwith the Secretary Art & Culture and other dignitaries on April 29, 2026 at 10:00 am.The Directorate of Art and Culture, had organized a workshop on “Indian Folk & Tribal Dances” under the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative, 2 schools each were selected randomly across all the talukas of Goa from April 20 to 25 2026.Participating students have been trained in a diverse range of Indian folk and tribal dance forms, including Tarpa, Koli and Lezim from Maharashtra; Garba and Tippani from Gujarat; Ghoomar from Haryana; Karma from Chhattisgarh; Bhangra from Punjab; Bihu from Assam; Kalbelia from Rajasthan; and Sambalpuri from Odisha etc.
