The Governor P Ashok Gajapathi Raju has greeted the people on the festive occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha (Bakri-Id). Conveying his greetings and best wishes to all the people of Goa, especially the Muslim brethren.
The Governor in his message said, “Id-Ul-Zuha celebrated in the spirit of sacrifice, compassion and benevolence is observed with deep devotion and enthusiasm across India and around the world. This sacred occasion also known as the ‘Festival of Sacrifice’ inspires us to uphold the timeless values of faith, charity, selflessness and humanity. It also reminds us that all religions advocate the universal ideals of love, peace, compassion, harmony and brotherhood”.
“On this holy and pious occasion, let us renew our commitment to live together in peace, amity, friendship and mutual understanding. May the celebrations of Id-Ul-Zuha bring greater peace, happiness, prosperity and unity among all people”, the Governor concluded.
