Department of Drinking Water has announced that, there will be complete shutdown of the 100 MLD Salauli Water treatment plant at Xelpem (JICA WTP) under SWSP on September 7, 2026 for the period of 24 hours from 7.00 a.m to 7.00 a.m on September 8, 2026 to carry out interfacing activities of the 100MLD WTP with additional 100 MLD WTP.
As such water supply will be partially affected to parts of Sanguem (Netravali, Zambaulim, Rivona), Sanvordem (Guddemoll), Shiroda, Quepem, Balli pumping station, Gudi, Margao city, Fatorda, Raia, Fatepur, Handka, Loutolim, Cansaulim, Nagoa, Cuncolim, Curtorim, Nuvem, Cortalim, Dabolim, Vasco and Marmgao Constituency. However, normalization of water supply to the tail- end areas of Cortalim, Dabolim, Vasco and Mormugao will take another two days.
The 160MLD Salauli WTP will remain fully operational during the shutdown period.
