The Directorate of Transport has compiled their monthly report of the number of accidents that occurred for the month of May 2026. As per the report, there were 242 road accident of which 22 were Fatal Accident (North Goa – 15 and South Goa – 07), 35 Grievous Accidents (North Goa – 20 and South Goa – 15), 37 Minor Accidents (North Goa – 15 and South Goa – 22) and 148 Non – Injury Accidents (North Goa – 71 and South Goa – 77).
The total number of persons who lost their live in road accident were 22 (North Goa – 15 and South Goa – 07), 45 people were Grievous Injured (North Goa – 22 and South Goa – 23), while 87 persons suffered Minor Injuries (North Goa – 42 and South Goa – 45).
Of those who lost their lives 11 were Riders (North Goa – 11 and South Goa – Nil), 01 P/Riders (North Goa – Nil and South Goa – 01), 07 Pedestrian (North Goa –03 and South Goa – 04), 01 Passenger (North Goa – 00 and South Goa – 01).
