Panaji, November, 2015 … Chief Minister, Shri Laxmikant Parsekar has said that Government is committed for Human development and is spending crores of rupees to build up better infrastructure and related facilities in education sector. Government he said has already constructed building forfive High schools and 29 primary schools in Sattari taluka through GSIDC with adequate facilities.
Shri Parsekar was speaking after inaugurating the Reconstructed Government High School building at Ambedem, Nagargao in Sattari Taluka recently.
Speaking further Shri Parsekar said education sector is an important sector in human development. Government is paying due attention by investing in this sector, results of which will be seen in the years to come. Today we have educated youths in almost all streams of education who are doing very well in the society, he added.
Shri Parsekar appealed to the parents to do provide education to their children for their better future. He also urged the teachers to mould the students not just with bookish knowledge but to prepare them compete in the national competitive exams. There is a need to give not only quantity education but provide quality education to the students so that they become self reliant in life.
Chairman of GSIDC Dr. Pramod Sawant said that the Government has implemented various schemes and programms for the development of human being. He said that Goa is marching ahead in every sector and is also in the forefront in education sector. He urged the students, parents and teachers to maintain the school building.
The total built up area of school is 1773.00 sq.cm. constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 249 lakhs. It consist of total eight classrooms with a capacity of sixty students provided with vitrified flooring, well ventilated with big aluminum sliding windows with M.S. grills and all classrooms provided with C.C.T.V. camers. In addition, each classroom is furnished with modern benceshes and other furniture. An attempt has been made to get the feel of opens with in the school premises by proposing two open courtyards. Air conditioned computer room and audio visual room with open courtyards. Air conditioned computer room and audio visual room with monitor providing C.C TV footage of all the class rooms, corridors and passages for better safety of students is provided in the school building.
