Panaji: December 15, 214 …. Preparations are on for the celebration of 53^rd anniversary of Goa’s Liberation  scheduled on December 19, 2014.  The main state level function will be held at Parade Ground, Campal, Panaji where the Chief Minister Shri Laxmikant Parsekar will unfurl the national flag at 9.15 a.m., review  the parade, take the salute and later address the people of the state. 

On the occasion the Chief Minister will also present awards to those who have excelled in varied fields for their Meritorious services.

            The function will be attended by Speaker Shri Rajendra Arlekar, Cabinet Ministers, Dy. Speaker Shri Anant Shet, Leader of the Opposition Shri Pratapsingh Rane, MP’s, MLA’s, Judges of High Court, Ld. Advocate General and other dignitaries.

            On his arrival at the venue of the function the Chief Minister will be received by Minister for Tourism Shri Dilip Parulekar, Acting Chief Secretary, Shri R.K. Srivastava and Director General of Police, Shri T. N. Mohan .

 To mark the Liberation Day celebration various programme will be held in the State at 9.15 a.m.  At the District level function to be held at Margao, Minister for Labour and Employment Shri Avertano Furtado will perform the flag hosting ceremony. 

At Kranti Maidan, Ponda,  Minister for P.W.D. Shri Sudin Dhavalikar will unfurl the national flag. 

At Mapusa  Dy. Chief Minister Shri Francis D’Souza, at Vasco, Minister for Power and Information,

Shri Milind Naik, at Sanguem, Shri Subhash Faldessai,  MLA, at Canacona Minister for Sports, Shri Ramesh Tawadkar, at Pernem, Speaker, Shri Rajendra Arlekar, at Valpoi Dy. Speaker Shri Anant Shet, at Quepem Shri Nilesh Cabral, MLA, at Bicholim Dr. Pramod Sawant, MLA and at Dharbandora Shri Ganesh Gaonkar, MLA will perform the flag hoisting ceremony.

      Governor of Goa will host a reception at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula   at 5.15 pm   

Panaji, December 14, 2014 ….  The PNDT Advisory Committee  discussed about the proposals received from various Clinics for setting up of Ultra Sound, X-ray, C.T. Scan, new registrations,  renewal of licenses and other related issues at the meeting held under the chairmanship of  Shri Swapnil Naik,  Additional Collector in his chamber at the  Collectorate, North Goa,  Panaji  on Friday.

 The meeting was attended by  Dr. Shirley Rebeiro, Chairperson of Advisory  Committee, Smt. Nita Marathe, APP, Shri Shashikant Khanolkar, and Smt. Vasundhara Desai,  members.

 During the course of discussion  at the meeting , the Committee has  been  approved the new  registrations  of  Kamala Scan and Dr. Abhijeet Fetal Medicine  and Infertility Centre.  It was also decided that the proposal from the  Director of Animal  Husbandry: Portable mobile van for district to perform animal scan  to forward the State Supervisory Board for it approval.

 The  renewal of  license  to Vrundavan Shalby Hospital has been granted,  besides , minutes of earlier meeting has also been approved at the meeting.

13/12/2014 … The state congress party Pradesh election committee members met on Thursday and held discussion over the selection of its party candidate for the forthcoming panjim constituency by-elections …

Four aspirants namely ccp mayor surendra furtado, gpcc general secretary artur sequiera, gpcc secretary ezilda sapeco and domnic savio Fernandes had recently filed their party nomination forms for the congress ticket for the upcoming Panjim constituency by elections

According to sources from the congress party ccp mayor surendra furtado and gpcc secretary ezilda sapeco are said to be the front runners for the party ticket in panjim by-elections

Speaking to goanreporter gpcc President luizinho faleiro said that the final announcement of the party candidate for the panjim by-elections would be announced within the next two days

Commenting over his party mla from st cruz constituency babush monsoratte having said of contesting as an independent in panjim by-elections luizinho said that his party would go according to the party policies and had nothing to say on who was trying to contest as an independent candidate

Commenting on the issue of tenancy act faleiro said it was prejudicial to the interest of the tenants in the state of goa and therefore his party was opposing it

Faleiro also stated that it was sad to see goan citizens going on hunger strike for their job survival even after working for twelve years in government services

12/12/2014 … Stating that the former chief minister Manohar parrikar had totally neglected its panjim constituency state congress spokesperson jitendra deshprabhu has termed calangute mla Michael lobo as a preferable chief minister better than Manohar parrikar due to mr lobo’s development initiatives undertaken in calangute constituency

Addressing media persons at the party head office in panjim mr deshprabhu said while in one side as far as calangute constituency lot of development had taken place under mla Michael lobo in panjim constituency there had been problems such as improper traffic sense, no traffic regulation, no proper parking and gambling activities being held in various corners across panjim constituency which was being represented by the former chief minister Manohar Parrikar

Deshprabhu said it was said to know that the state had witness some of the major acts of crimes and dacoities in the last few months during the regime of the present bjp led government

Deshprabhu also stated that illegal activities like beach parties and dhirios were being held under the watchful eyes of the concerned pernem police station from where the present chief minister laxmikhant Parsekar was himself a resident of …
