20/01/2016 … Deputy sarpanch of calangute village panchayat joseph sequiera has said that it was sad that the present bjp led government had passed the controversial bills of coconut tree and tourism projects in eco sensitive zones which were very dangerous to the coastal areas of the state

Mr sequiera who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday said that it was sad that the present government had passed a bill on coconut tree which would destroy the identity of the state and specially coastal village like calangute village which was surrounded by coconut trees everywhere

Mr sequiera also said that his motto was to serve the people of calangute constituency and to the state doing the best that he could do for them in whatever ways possible

Mr sequiera also stated that though he was a congress party worker he was ready to contest the next state assembly elections on a congress ticket though the decision was left to the party high command as to whom to give the congress party ticket for the state assembly elections
