PRESENTATION OF KALA GURAV PURASKAR ON FEB. 5, 2018

 Panaji, February 2, 2018 …  The Kala Gaurav Puraskar will be presented on February 5, 2018 by the Directorate of Art and Culture Minister for Art and Culture Shri Govind Gaude will be the Chief Guest for the function which will be held 4.00 p.m in Kala Academy, Campal.

Every year 30 such artistes from the state are felicitated by the Government. The awards are conferred in the fields of Music / Dance, Drama / Tiatr, Folk Art, Creative Photography, Painting, Craft, Sculpture, Bhajan/ Kirtan, Literature, Film etc. The award comprises of a memento, certificate, Shawl, Shriphal and a financial assistance to the extent of Rs. 25,000/- per awardee.

The Kala Gaurav Awardee for 2017-18 are for Drama – Shri Appa Yeshwant Shetye Drama, Shri Narshiv Shivram Nagvekar, Shri Sudan Vaikunth Naik, Smt Lila Keshav Kadam, Shri Usman Mohammad Khan, Shri Rohidas Tukaram Naik and Shri Vijaykumar Pandurang Kamat.

For Bhajan  – Shri Ramnath Atma Parab, Shri Bhanudas Shanu Korgaonkar, Shri Dattatray Krishna Joshi, Shri Rohidas Tukaram Naik Parab, Shri Damodar Gangu Gaude and Shri Ratnakar Rama, for Set Designer – Shri Chandrakant Baburao Naik.

Tiatr – Shri Hilario Braganza, Shri Andre Mesquita, Tiatr, Shri Prakash Yeshwant Salgaonkar, Shri Jose Filip Noronha, Shri Antonio Dias Alias Timothy Dias, Shri Bosco Menezes, Shri Krishnanth Vasudev Chari, Music, Smt Mica D’Souza and Shri Joao Francisco Dias.

Folk Dance – Shri Amancio Romualdo De Sousa and in Folk Art – Shri Datta J. Palkar, Folk, Shri Sitaram Vassu Palienakar, Woodcraft, Shri Haridatta N. Satarkar, Folk Art and Smt Anandi Anant Gaude.

In Music – Shri Ramnath A. Naik Shirodkar and Literature – Shri John Charles Fernandes and Shri Milind Harischandra Kakodkar will be felicitated.
