20/02/2014 …. As there are hundred per cent chances of winning the upcoming lok sabha elections,  the state congress party is firm on fighting the elections alone and by not forming any coalition , stated Goa Pradesh congress committee president john Fernandes

With talks going on about a possible coalition between the nationalist congress party and the Congress party to fight the upcoming Lok sabha elections, the GPCC president John Fernandes stated that the Congress high command was aware of the sentiments of its party members to fight the elections on their own without joining hands with the NCP.

mr Fernandes also stated that since the NCP  and congress were not having an alliance throughout the country, the congress leaders in turn could help its coalition partner, the NCP party by conceding more seats in another state.

mr Fernandes also stated that some state NCP leaders were in touch with him and had shown interest in  re-joining the congress party.
