The state government would recruit over 1000 to 2000 boys and girls in the fields of security and housekeeping in the state government departments through its office of goa human resources development corporation in the month of august chief minister manohar parrikar said on Wednesday

Parrikar was addressing press media after the cabinet briefing where in mr parrikar announced short term courses such repairs for home appliances, mobile repairs, beauty treatment, tailoring bakery catering and other jobs generated courses would be implemented in the Goa technical and vocational training to sex workers and sexually abused women scheme, 2013 called ‘Prabhat’ which was approved by the state cabinet on Wednesday.

It may be noted that the government has framed the scheme in compliance with the order of the Supreme Court dated February 2, 2011, wherein the apex court directed all state governments to prepare schemes for giving technical/vocational training to sex workers and sexually-abused women to enable them to earn their livelihood

Parrikar said that under the scheme each beneficiary would get an amount of rs 2500 per month like wise of the beneficiary of the foster care scheme which was named as vatsalya and was also approved by the state cabinet

Commenting over the issue of grant in aid scheme for government aided educational institutions Parrikar said that a total amount of three and half crore would be given for schools in the category wise of primary, secondary and higher secondary institutions in the state who had completed five year term for infrastructure up gradation

Parrikar also stated that though there were certain technical difficulties while implementing the school timings in the state educational institutions but the state government was firm in implementing the same and would discuss the matter taking all educationists in to confidence as the issue was not an ego for the state government
