The Goa Legislature Secretariat organised a Capacity-Building Programme for its officers and staff at the Assembly Complex, Porvorim, with the objective of strengthening institutional capacity and enhancing professional competence in Legislative Administration.
The programme was graced by Shri Harvinder Kalyan, Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, who delivered an insightful address on various aspects of Legislative and Parliamentary functioning. Drawing upon his rich experience, Shri Kalyan highlighted the importance of efficiency, transparency and adherence to establish Parliamentary procedures in ensuring the effective functioning of Legislative Institutions. He also interacted with the participants, sharing practical insights on committee procedures, conference management, protocol and other institutional matters.
The Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly, Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar, also addressed the gathering and shared his valuable perspectives on the evolving role of Legislative Institutions.
The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and staff of the Goa Legislature Secretariat, who actively engaged in discussions and exchanged ideas on improving Legislative and Administrative processes.
The initiative reaffirmed the Goa Legislature Secretariat’s commitment to enhancing the skills and knowledge of its workforce through continuous learning and professional development. Legislature Secretary Smt. Namrata Ulman along with the Joint Secretary Shri. Mohan Gaonkar were present on the occasion. Miss. Sthrigdhara Naik compered the function. Prakash Satarkar proposed the vote of thanks.
