It may be noted that recently congress mla’s such as mauvin godinho, vishwajeet rane, babush monsoratte and reginaldo lourenco had raised their voice in support of new faces in the upcoming loksabha elections stating that such move of the state congress party would help the congress party to regain its pride specially among the youths of the state which had been lost due to the last state assembly elections while some had stated that time had come for senior politicians to hang up their boots …

Speaking to goanreporter south goa mp Francisco sardinha said there would be many bubbles which would burst before elections and did not care a dam for anyone who ever wanted to say about the issue of new face for lok Sabha elections

Sardinha said there were some people in the congress who had the habit of talking big things but had almost finished off the congress party in the recent years bringing the position of the party mla’s to a mere total of nine numbers in the state legislative assembly

Sardinha also commented over the curtorim mla reginaldo lourenco comment who had stated that he had a problem with the south goa mp stating that he did not worried over the statements made by individuals

Addressing media press conference at the party head office in Panjim south goa mp Francisco sardinha said that if there was a shortage of money in the scheme than there was a need from the state government side to increase daily allowances of the scheme and highlighted the issue of increase of timing hours in the state schools done by the state government was only to punish parents and students from the state

Commenting over the issue of chowgule college Sardinha said that issues separating management, teachers and students should not take place in colleges and asked the state government to intervene in to the matter and solve it as early as possible

Sardinha also commented over the issue of mining, entry tax and sand extraction in the state

30-06-2013 … In what could be termed as a dream run in his political career for the curtorim congress mla alexio reginaldo lourenco, the upcoming lok Sabha elections could see a new face for the south goa lok Sabha seat for the state congress party in the form of the alexio reginaldo lourenco who could be named as the congress candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections

Speaking to goanreporter the former health minister vishwajeet rane said that there was no need to get any kind of project which could try to divide the people of the state and instead of it there was a need to get more industrial parks and industrial estates which had not come up in the last fifteen to sixteen months

Vishwajjet said that since the state bjp led government was talking of giving voting rights at panchayat level on regional plan issue time had also come to have a opinion poll over the mopa issue as without taking goans in to confidence over the mopa-dabolim issue would certainly divide goans at a large

Stating that chief minister manohar parrikar was just becoming a joke after joke Former education minister and st cruz mla babush monsoratte on Friday questioned the state chief minister and minister of education manohar parrikar decision of providing grants for the maintenance and upgrading of government-aided educational institutions asking whether the state government had enough funds to sanction the same scheme in its present financial year

It may be noted that in its last cabinet meeting chief minister manohar parrikar had stated that Under the scheme to upgrade school infrastructure, 30 schools would be given grant-in-aid of Rs. 50 crore in the current year itself to maintain their infrastructure, which will include CCTV in the front office and a compound wall to ensure the safety of children in schools.

In the composite schools category the government had also announced that the entitlements were for Primary and Secondary, a maximum of Rs. 150 lakh; Secondary and Higher Secondary, a maximum of Rs. 300 lakh; and Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary, a maximum of Rs. 350 lakh.

Speaking to goanreporter the former education minister babush monsoratte said that there was a need for the education minister to have a look at the government schools which were in a total mess where proper facilities were not available till date

Over the issue of increase in school times Babush said that it was a wrong decision taken by the state government as such decision did not suit the life style of a goan family who were working class people

Commenting over the issue of most of the ccp councilors resolving to the closure of casinos offices from the city Babush said that there was a need from the ccp side to send the same resolution of most of the councilors resolving to close the casinos office in the city to the chief minister manohar parrikar and then let the chief minister could take a decision on it

Babush also commented over the issue of banning of film shooting in the city jurisdiction …

Stating that the dabolim airport was the need of the hour and should not be closed at any cost former pwd minister Churchill alemao on Thursday warned goans to be alert on dabolim as there was no need for another airport at mopa which was only to help the state of Maharashtra by getting tourist in goa and taking them in to Maharashtra to boost its tourism while finishing off tourism in goa ….

Speaking to goanreporter former pwd Minister Churchill alemao said he was a person who had even resigned from his mp post over the existence of dabolim airport as he knew that if dabolim was closed then goa’s economy would be totally finished off both in south and north

Churchill said that there was a need from the state government side to use the vacant land given to birla for the up gradation of the dabolim airport where the dabolim airport could have two runways for operation …

The state government would recruit over 1000 to 2000 boys and girls in the fields of security and housekeeping in the state government departments through its office of goa human resources development corporation in the month of august chief minister manohar parrikar said on Wednesday

Parrikar was addressing press media after the cabinet briefing where in mr parrikar announced short term courses such repairs for home appliances, mobile repairs, beauty treatment, tailoring bakery catering and other jobs generated courses would be implemented in the Goa technical and vocational training to sex workers and sexually abused women scheme, 2013 called ‘Prabhat’ which was approved by the state cabinet on Wednesday.

It may be noted that the government has framed the scheme in compliance with the order of the Supreme Court dated February 2, 2011, wherein the apex court directed all state governments to prepare schemes for giving technical/vocational training to sex workers and sexually-abused women to enable them to earn their livelihood

Parrikar said that under the scheme each beneficiary would get an amount of rs 2500 per month like wise of the beneficiary of the foster care scheme which was named as vatsalya and was also approved by the state cabinet

Commenting over the issue of grant in aid scheme for government aided educational institutions Parrikar said that a total amount of three and half crore would be given for schools in the category wise of primary, secondary and higher secondary institutions in the state who had completed five year term for infrastructure up gradation

Parrikar also stated that though there were certain technical difficulties while implementing the school timings in the state educational institutions but the state government was firm in implementing the same and would discuss the matter taking all educationists in to confidence as the issue was not an ego for the state government

Addressing media persons at the party head office in panjim ncp spokesperson trojano demello said that the state chief minister manohar parrikar suing his dictatorial attitude had headed such a council which had to make recommendations to the same government which was headed by chief minister himself and therefore it was wrong on the part of mr parrikar to head the education advisory council

Trojano also stated that his party was demanding to roll back the extended timing of the schools which had created chaos and confusion in the schedule of thousand of parents and students in the state

Presently the state is in the mid of the rainy season when specially the sea along the 107 kms coastline is rough an very dangerous to swim but even after the state government appointed life guards instruction of not to venture in to the sea during rainy season some of the tourists visiting goan beaches do not listen to the appointed life guards due to which case of drowning and other incident takes place …

Speaking to goanreporter state tourism minister dilip parulekar said that strict vigil would be maintained along the goan coastline to take care of any untoward incident taking place and if the tourist were not listening to the life guards then irb officials then strict action would be taken on such tourist

Parulekar said that even case could be booked on those tourist who would not listen to the irb officials and create nuisance along the coastline

Parulekar also stated that the state government was almost ready to implement cctv camera all along the goan coastline in days to come

23-06-2013 … The state nationalist congress party on Saturday asked the state pollution control board to implement conducive and healthy environment which is pollution free for sewerage tankers for dumping sewage in a proper manner in to the state of goa …

Addressing media press conference at the party head office in panjim ncp spokesperson trojano demello said it was surprising to note that there were no permission given by the pollution control board to any sewage tankers who were operating in goa and were dumping the sewage mostly in to the river and on the hilly areas of the state …
