Panaji, September 10, 2019 ….The Directorate of Transport has compiled monthly report of number of accidents that occurred and number of Challans issued for the month of July 2019.
As per the report there were 233 road accidents of which 14 were Fatal Accidents (North Goa – 8 and South Goa – 6), 10 Grievous Accidents (North Goa – 0 and South Goa – 10), 47 Minor Accidents (North Goa – 18 and South Goa – 29) and 162 Non – Injury Accidents (North Goa – 88 and South Goa – 74).
The total number of persons who lost their lives in road accidents were 14 (North Goa – 8 and South Goa – 6). 11 riders, 2 P/Riders and 1 Pedestrian lost their lives in these accidents.
13 people were Grievously Injured (North – 1 and South – 12) while 74 persons suffered Minor Injuries (North – 28, South – 46).
A total 5136 Challans were issued by Transport authorities in the month of July 2019.

Panaji: September 7,2019….The Indian Red Cross Society-Goa has collected Rs.1.50 Lakhs being a contribution from three Rotary Clubs of Panaji namely Rotary Club of Miramar, Rotary Club of Panaji and Rotary Club of Riveira and Members of Goa Petrol Dealers Association who generously contributed towards the Kolhapur Relief fund.
