The Goa Board  of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education informed that the result of SSC Public Examination March 2026 will be declared on April 26, 2026 at 5.00 p.m. in the “Manthan” Conference Hall, Second Floor of the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim.

 

The SSC Examination was conducted by Gon Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim from March 13,  to  April 9, 2026. The Examination was conducted at 32 Examination centres across the State. The consolidated Result sheet will be available for downloading from the school login https://servicel.gbshse.in from April 28, 2026 onwards. SSC 2026 results, will be available on Goa Board website on www.gbshse.in and http://results.gbshsegon.net/#/ & digilocker App.

The result booklet will also be available on official website of this Board. The same may be downloaded by the School for official purpose from official website of the Board (www.gbshse.in)

Goan Reporter:CARICATURE DEMO CUM WORKSHOP FROM 28TH TO 30TH APRIL, 2026

The Directorate of Art and Culture, Panaji will be organizing various programmes/ activities to commemorate the birth centenary year of Late            Shri. Mário de Miranda, a renowned cartoonist and painter of international repute from Loutolim who has immensely contributed in the field of Indian Art.

As a part of this birth centenary year commemoration, the Directorate of Art and Culture will be organizing a Caricature Demo cum Workshop at Sanskruti Bhavan, Panaji   for a period of 3 days from April 28 to 30, 2026 between 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. This workshop will serve as a platform for art students / amateur artists to come together to learn from the demonstration the creative style of Caricature drawings.

The Caricature Demo cum Workshop will be conducted by an expert resource person. The art students / amateur artists and children above the age of 12 years will be participating in the workshop. Raw material will be provided to the participants the department.

The individual/ children willing to participate in the said workshop should submitted  the duly filled application form to the office of Directorate of Art and Culture, Patto, Panaji  by  April 27,  2026 or email to: ac**********@*ic.in.

The application form is available on the website: www.artandculture.goa.gov.in.

The seats will be limited and the participants shall be selected on first com first served basis.

Goan Reporter:MANDATORY SUBMISSION OF TOURIST DATA ON TIME APPLICATION

Panaji:  April 24, 2026::The Department of Tourisın, has issued a reminder to all C & D Category Hotels registered under the Department to ensure timely and regular submission of tourist check-in data through the TIME (Tourist Information Management Enterprise) Application.

The Tourism Department stated that, submission of guest check-in data is mandatory under the Goa Tourist Trade Registration Act. Despite repeated reminders and notices, it has been observed that several hotels have been negligent in complying with this requirement. Such non-compliance hampers effective tourism management and data monitoring

All concerned establishments are directed to strictly adhere to this requirement failure to submit the required data will attract penalties and fines as per the provisions of the Act.

Further, the Department has also observed that a number of hotels and guest houses are operating without a valid registration license. Such unauthorized operations are a violation of the law and will invite strict action, including closure and legal proceedings.

It is also clarified that individuals operating accommodations through platforms such as Airbnb or similar short-term rental services are required to obtain registration with the Department of Tourism. Non-compliance in such cases will also be dealt with firmly.

Teams of Tourism Department officials will be conducting inspections and site visits across the state to verify submission of tourist data on the TIME application; validity of registration licenses and compliance with applicable tourism regulations.

All stakeholders are urged to cooperate and comply with the regulations to ensure the smooth functioning and sustainable development of tourism in Goa.

A power shut down has been arranged on April 26, 2026 from 6.00 a.m to 2.00 p.m at 11 KV Siolim feeder and 11 KV Sodiem feeder (Mapusa S/S) and 11 KV Sodiem Bazar feeder (Karaswada S/S), Pernem to carry out urgent maintenance works. Affected areas are V. P. Marna, V. P. Oxel and V. P. Sodiem.

Similarly, a power shut down has been arranged on April 26, 2026 from 6.00 a.m to 12.00 noon at 11 KV Maria Rosa feeder, Caculo feeder, Post Office, Shivam Mark Memorial, Weena, Kamat and Tivai feeder, Calangute  to carry out urgent maintenance works. Affected areas are Naika waddo, Bom Viage, Gaura waddo, Tiwaivaddo, Dongarpur, Calangute market area and surrounding areas.

A power shut down has been arranged on April 26, 2026 from 6.00 a.m to 12.00 noon at 33/11 KV Nachinola Sub-station and 33/11 KV Anjuna Sub-station, Mapusa  to carry out urgent maintenance works. Affected areas are entire areas of Village Panchayat Moira, Nachinola, entire areas of Village Panchayat Anjuna and Assagao.

Similarly, a power shut down has been arranged on April 27, 2026 from 9.00 a.m to 2.00 p.m at 11 KV Arossim feeder, Verna (opening field AB switch and opening AB switch near Cansaulim S. O.)  to carry out urgent maintenance works. Affected areas are Tontem, market Cansaulim, Canara bank area, Cansaulim Panchayat area, Queeny, Arossim railway gate, Bhatiam PWD, Konkan railway, Consua and St.Lawrence (Arossim).

And also a power shut down has been arranged on April 27, 2026 from 9.30 a.m to 1.00 p.m at 200 KVA Old Police Quarters DTC, Porvorim  to carry out urgent maintenance works. Affected areas are Police quarters A Block, part of C and B Block and surrounding area.

The installation if 11/0.433KV, 3-Phase, 50Hz, 100 KVA Distribution transformer cetre along with RMU, Circuit breaker and Ring switch etc at Tambdem Agonda DTC at Tambdem Agonda Canacona is tested charged on April 23, 2026 and will remain charge thereafter.

Public are hereby warned not to come in contact of electrical equipment’s and not to graze cattle near the above mentioned locations as it is highly dangerous for life and property.

Goan Reporter:CLOSURE OF PORVORIM ROAD FOR SIX LANE CORRIDOR

The Executive Engineer, Works Division – VII (NH) PWD, has notified the closure of RHS side of the existing NH-66 from approach road of A2 (near Neo Majestic Hotel, Porvorim) at Ch. 512+900 to P86 (near Gauri Petrol Pump, Porvorim) at 512+560 for all types of vehicular traffic from April 24, 2026 (midnight) to May 20, 2026 to facilitate the speedy completion for the six lane elevated  corridor project.

Traffic proceeding from Panaji towards Mapusa will be diverted from LHS Service road near Neo Majestic Hotel and traffic will be closed for the connecting road from Pundalik Nagar near P82 near Delfinos junction. Traffic moving towards Mapusa from Betim will be allowed on existing RHS service road of NH-66 from P85 near Gauri Petrol Pump. Suitable and safe access for the local residents and establishment on the closed stretch of NH-66 will be provided at designated location.

The activity of construction of approach on RHS of A2 side  for the project of “Construction of six lane Elevated Corridor from km 508.000 to km 513.150 including approaches on NH-66 in the State of Goa on EPC mode” is in progress, for which there is a need for closure of existing NH-66, for all types of vehicular traffic, to facilitate hindrance free and speedy completion of the projecttaking into consideration the safety of commuters.

The Directorate of Panchayats will be organizing a programme to celebrate the National Panchayati Raj Day, 2026 on April 29, 2026 at Kala Academy, Panaji from 9.00 a.m onwards.

On the occasion village panchayats across the state of Goa will be awarded for their outstanding performance in various categories which strengthen the rural self-governance and sustainable infrastructure.

The National Panchayati Raj Day is celebrated annually to commemorate the enactment of the 73rd Constitutional Amendment Act, 1992 which took effect in 1993 and solidified grassroot democracy. The day emphasizes strengthening rural self – governance, digital governance, sustainable infrastructure and women’s representation in local decision-making.
