LAW MINISTER INAUGURATES NEW OFFICE OF CIVIL REGISTRAR CUM SUB REGISTRAR

Panaji: 8 March, 2018 … Minister for Law, Shri Francis D’Souza inaugurated new office of Civil Registrar cum Sub Registrar , Tiswadi in the distinguish presence of Vice Chairman of Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Shri Sidharth Kuncalienkar at Spaces Building at Patto Plaza, Panaji today.

    Speaking on the occasion, Shri D’Souza said that this office was need of an hour as this is the Revenue earning department compared to any other department. Now with the inauguration of new office, people of Tiswadi will now get good facilities as office is situated in spacious premises.

Shri Sidharth Kuncalienkar on the occasion said that public had to face traffic congestion due to non availability of parking facilities at the old office , With this office shifted at Spaces building, the problem of parking will be resolved. With better working environment Shri Kuncalienkar requested employees to maintain good relationship with the public.

Also Present on the occasion were State Registrar cum Head of Notary Services, Shri Ashutosh Apte , and Civil Registrar cum Sub Registrar, Shri Suraj Vernekar.

5TH COSIDICI’S NATIONAL AWARD FUNCTION 2018 HELD AT GOA

Panaji: 7,March, 2018 …..  5th Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations of India (COSIDICI) National award function 2018 was held at Goa hosted by EDC Limited at Hotel Fidalgo recently.

  The (COSIDICI) National Awards are instituted to recognize outstanding and meritorious performance in the activities connected with development of industries. These awards promote the spirit of competition amongst entrepreneurs and recognize their distinct role in socioeconomic development.

 The awardees were felicitated by Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha Shri. Narendra Swaikar in the presence of the Shri Sidharth Kuncalienkar, Ex MLA & Chairman, EDC Ltd and Shri Glenn Ticlo MLA and Chairman, Goa State Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC). Smt. Smita Bharadwaj, IAS President, COSIDICT & Managing Director – Madhya Pradesh Financial Corporation were present. The COSIDICT Member delegates from various states  also attend the function.

  44 – entrepreneurs who started small business but have achieved recognition in their chosen field and some of them have even become industry leaders today were honored on the occasion which includes 5 local Goan entrepreneurs financed by EDC Limited also receive these National Awards. Entrepreneurs who have brought prosperity to our country by setting up successful enterprises. The units being awarded have been chosen from all over the country and were selected by a injury formed by the Executive Committee of COSIDICI.

 EDC Limited has also felicitated 10 Outstanding Entrepreneurs under their flagship self employment scheme “Chief Minister Rojgar Yojana” (CMRY) operated on behalf of the Government.

  Smt. Bharadwaj appreciated the awardees and gave briefing about the function.

 Shri Sawaikar speaking on the occasion congratulated all the award winners from various States and said that due to rapid developments in industries, atmosphere is changing in the country.

 

         Shri Kuncalienkar further congratulated the awardees and said that the Chief Minister Rojgar Yojana (CMRY) scheme was started in 2001 and so far EDC has assisted more than 6000 beneficiaries with sanctioned amount of Rs. 162.00 crore and actual disbursement in excess of Rs. 138.00 crore. The recovery percentage for CMRY Scheme is 93%, has further strengthened the Government’s trust in EDC he added.

 

            Shri Ticlo speaking on the occasion lauded the work done by awardees and said COSIDICI’s is the catalyst which is providing assistant and guidance to its large network affiliated states. He said it is time that all the stakeholders take the initiatives and ensure that all the parties collectively work together to bring upon the much required industrial development in the state for not forgetting however where there be also need to protect our environment  and our natural beauty

ADMISSION FOR TWO YEARS DIPLOMA IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

Panaji: March 6, 2018 … The prospectus for admission to two years Diploma Course in  Elementary Education is available in the office of the Principal, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Porvorim from March 12, 2018 to April 6, 2018 between 10.00 a.m to 4.00 p.m. the last date for the submission of the duly completed application form is April 10, 2018.   The applications received after the due date will not be taken into consideration. The minimum qualification required for admission is std.XIIth  passed (10+2 pattern). The minimum percentage of Std. XIIth is 50% marks. Candidates appearing for March/April, 2018 std. XIIth examinations may also apply for the D.EI.Ed. Course. 

Eligibility for candidate seeking admission to the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) Course should be resident of Goa state for last 15 years, have passed 10+2 pattern or equivalent Higher Secondary General Stream Arts/Commerce/Science in single attempt only. Have passed 10+2 pattern or equivalent with Marathi at H.S.S.C.E (Std.XIIth) to apply for Marathi Medium D.EI.Ed.course. Should have English subject at std.XIIth  with minimum 45% marks and 40% for SC/ST for English Medium Course only. Should have Marathi subject with minimum 40% for SC/ST and 45% for other categories for Marathi Medium Course only. Have 50% and above aggregate percentage at Higher Secondary level. Should have elementary school based subject at Higher Secondary level Such as English, Hindi/Marathi/Konkani/Sanskrit/Kannada/Urdu (Any one), Mathematics/Physics/ Chemistry/Biology/ComputerScience/History/Geography/PoliticalScience/Sociology/ Psychology/Economics(any one).

Sale of prospectus and admission application forms from March 12 to April 6, 2018. Start of receiving the application forms from March 26, 2018. Last date of the sale of the prospectus from April 6, 2018. Last date for submission of the duly filled application forms from April 10, 2018. Skill test will be last week of April 2018 to first week of May 2018. Display of list of the selected candidates will be last week of May 2018. Last date to confirm the admission and pay the fees will be June 7, 2018. Admission for fist waiting list will be June 11, 2018. Admission for second waiting list will be June 13, 2018.

NEW I-CARDS FOR MEDIA PERSONS TO COVER ASSEMBLY SESSIONS

Panaji: March 5, 2018 … The Reporters, Correspondents, Photographers of dailies, Electronics Media and Radio etc, who will be covering assembly proceedings of Goa Legislative Assembly are requested to apply afresh in the prescribed application forms to the Secretary, Goa Legislature Secretariat, Porvorim.

          The prescribed applications forms are available at office of Goa Legislature, Goa Assembly Complex and the same should be duly recommended by the Editor or Bureau Chief on seal of the organization. The applications shall be verified by the Department of Information and Publicity.    

Ajgaonkar warns of action against those bringing disrepute to Goa Tourism…Appeals to Goa Police and Tourism Dept. to be vigilant

Panjim, March 4: Taking serious cognizance of defiance by shack operators in violating norms of the shack policy, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Mr. Manohar Ajgoankar has  assured locals from the Baga-Sinquerim stretch  of  tough action against the violators and violations  brought to his notice  by them.

Mr. Ajgaonkar,  in a statement  issued recently, said that he would  direct the Department  of Tourism,Govt.  of Goa to crack the whip on the erring shack operators,  failing which  he would hold the  Department  accountable and responsible for  the same.

Taking serious cognizance of  complaints from locals  of Baga-Sinquerim on various  issues affecting  them due to unauthorized shack operations, Mr. Ajgaonkar said, ” I will not tolerate this defiance  of the shack operators as well as the dereliction of  duty of the Department  in not clamping down on the same. I have  directed the Department   of Tourism  to act immediately against  any such violation  of  norms  under the shack policy.”

“I will  look into the  complaints and  issues raised by the locals in the North Goa  coastal stretch and  will move for action  against the offenders and  also Department  staff for failing to  nip the issues at the right time,” he reiterated.

That shack operators continue business after permissible hours, and several other violations reported by the locals,  he said  is  not in the true spirit of  healthy tourism practices  and  that the government  is serious on  action against anyone encouraging and deflecting from  acting against such violations as well.

Mr. Ajgaonkar said that  strict monitoring of tourism activities would take place not only in the North coastal areas but  along the entire coastal stretch.

Mr Ajgaonkar  also urged the Goa Police  to keep a tight vigil  along the beach belt and swoop down heavily  against  illegal activities  and violations and  to act against those  breaking the law of the land  and bringing  disrepute  to Goa.

 

 

 

RDA MINISTER DISCUSSES IMPLEMENTATION OF PMAY AND PMGS YOGANA IN NEW DELHI

Panaji, March 3, 2018 …  Minister for Rural Development, Housing and Ports, Shri. Jayesh Salgaonkar attended a meeting arranged by the Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in New Delhi recently.

Shri Salgaonkar discussed with the Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar about effective implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.

Addressing the gathering in the meeting held at Stein Auditorium, Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi which was attended by the Ministers of various states, Mr. Jayesh Salgaonkar discussed about the peculiar topography and demography of the state of Goa and various bottlenecks in smooth implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana such as ownership of lands, objections and rejections by local authorities of the beneficiaries identified by the Government, shortage of Government land, high standard of living in Goa, requirement of conducting a fresh Socio-Economic Caste Census and other issues. Mr. Salgaonkar suggested that the Ministry may consider a special scheme for the state of Goa to meet the needs of houses by relaxing the conditions of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for the state of Goa.

As regards Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (Gramin) Shri Salgaonkar mentioned that the Goan villages are semi-urban in nature and the State Government has made roads covering almost every part of the state. There is however, a need of roads in some pockets in Goan villages but the land owners are reluctant to donate lands. Land acquisition is prolonged process and may not fit in the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The Minister suggested that the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (Gramin) can be suitably converted for the state of Goa to cover the water ways so that inaccessible villages can be covered through water transport.

Mr. Jayesh Salgaonkar also called on the Officers of the Ministry of Rural Development today in New Delhi and discussed the issues in detail with the attended officers.

CIVIL REGISTRAR-CUM-SUB-REGISTRAR OFFICE IN NEW PREMISES

Panaji, March 3, 2018 …  Civil Registrar-cum-Sub Registrar office presently housed at Junta House, Ground Floor, Panaji will be shifted to new office premises on Second Floor of SPACES Building at Patto Panaji on March 5, 2018 at 4.30 p.m. at the hands of Law Minister, Shri Francis D’Souza.

TRANSPERANCY IN ADMINISTRATION IS THE MOTO OF THE GOVERNMENT –REVENUE MINISTER

Panaji: March 2,2018 … The Revenue Minister,  Shri Rohan Khaunte has said that the Government intends to create transparency in administration and mentioned that from last one year the Government has initiated steps and various procedures related to land  due to which around 9000 cases of  mutation have been disposed off.

Shri Khaunte was speaking at a interaction meeting  organized at Bodgeshwar Devasthan Hall at Mapusa recently. The Office of the Additional  Collector North and the Office of the Deputy Collector Mapusa organized this interaction programme ( Saad Pratisaad ) to know from the general public their grievances ,to seek suggestions and their opinion about the functioning of  Revenue offices.    

Shri Khaunte said that he was aware about the shortage of staff in some offices which he said will be addressed soon. It has been also planned to provide access to cases of mutation online. The Government as part of reforms have provided court monitoring software to all the offices and streamlined the work in offices.

Shri Khaunte further said that the process of mutation has been simplified in the interest of the people. In regards of Khajan land, the Government has insisted the Khajan Land Associations to submit Baandh Safety Report from time to time and steps have been initiated to bring maximum Khajan land under cultivation.

Shri Khaunte also said that the local representatives have to be alert and strict  to arrest incidents of illegal construction, conversion of land  etc.

Shri Vikas Gaunekar, Addl. Collector North Goa, Shri Shankhwalkar, Deputy Collector Mapusa, Shri Dasharath Gawas, Mamlatdar Bardez, Officers from Dept of Revenue, Deputy Collector and other Department were present at the meeting.

DATABASE FOR ALL THE EMPLOYED AND UNEMPLOYED PERSONS TO BE PREPARED

Panaji, March 1st, 2018  ….  The Office of the Commissioner, Labour and Employment, Government of Goa proposes to prepare a database of all the employed and unemployed persons in the State of Goa.

This data will not only guide the Goa Government in formulating new schemes for the employees working in various organizations but also assist the Government in formulating efficient policies and procedures to ensure welfare of the employees in the state and have built a good work environment for the employees. In order to achieve the same all the employers are requested to co-operate with the department by providing the data in the prescribed format.

 All the establishments, factories, industries and shops are requested to provide your establishment and current employees details by visiting the website http://www.geleservices.com/GEL/Employer DataUpload.aspx and download the “Employee Data Format” and “Aadhaar Consent Format”.  Fill in all the data requested in the above two formats. For “Aadhaar Consent Format” ensure each page has consent in header and signature of each employee is taken. Fill employer information on the website and upload Employee Data Format (Excel) and Aadhaar Consent Format (Pdf) to the website and should be uploaded before March 15,2018. FDA launches Food Safety on Wheels “Mobile Food Testing Laboratory”

Panaji, March 1st, 2018 …. The Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration (DFDA) has launched the “Food Safety on Wheels Mobile Food Testing Laboratory which was recently inaugurated by the Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar in the presence of Minister of Health Shri Vishwajeet Rane.

            The Food Safety on Wheels vehicles is equipped with a mobile laboratory, well equipped to carry out tests like screening of adulterants in milk, masalas, honey, detection of food colour, analysis of packed drinking water etc. The Vehicle serves as a very effective means to carry out spot tests / analysis, awareness programmes, food safety surveillance etc. The services of the onboard mobile lab shall now be open to the general public as well as Food business operators. The food samples can be submitted to the mobile tab, while at camp at various cities.

            Nominal fees to be paid on the spot for per samples for Milk and Milk products is Rs.400/- for Packaged drinking water is Rs.300/- and for other food items is Rs.150/-
