02/07/2014 ::: the state congress party on tuesday condemned the statement made by the PWD Minister Mr Sudin Dhavlikar on dress code and Chief Minister Manohar parrikar statement with regards to rape

Sudin Dhavlikar should preach certain things before he advises others, he should start wearing Dhoti instead of Pant and Shirt if he preaching what our sisters should wear. We also condemn Sudin’s statement in support of muthalik. This clearly shows what these people are up to and govt silence on muthalik is coming out in open.

 We also condemn the rape remark made by the Chief Minister; Chief Minister should understand a pain a human being goes through after the rape.

 The Statement made by the Chief Minister and PWD Minister clearly shows what type of Junk is stored in their heads. Wearing a simple Shirt and Pant doesn’t reflect person mental attitude.  These types of comments out in Public domain shows the mental thinking of the PWD and the Chief Minister.

 People cutting across Political Lines and Prominent Citizens across Goa should condemn such type of Mental Attitude.

01/07/2014 …. Stating that he was frightened to move along the existing zuari bridge Opposition leader pratapsingh rane on Monday raised concerns over the present condition of the exciting zuari bridge and said that a new zuari bridge was an urgent need of the hour ….

Addressing media persons in his chamber at the state assembly complex opposition leader pratapsingh rane said that the present zuari bridge was more than thirty years old and the state government should immediately construct a new zuari bridge on top priority basis …

Commenting over the issue of ram sene chief pramod muthalik entry in the state Rane said that the background of the concerned person was not right and if there were any violations then the state government should take strict action on the concerned people

Rane also stated that he was taking legal opinion on filing defamation case against that party who had accused him of taking money in a mine related issue

01/07/2014 ….Stating that every indian citizen has a right to move around anywhere in the country pwd minister sudhin dhavlikar on Monday also came in support of ram sene chief pramod muthalik that that the rame sene chief could not be ban on entering the state though he was also of the opinion of putting a ban on pubs being operated in and around the state of goa

Addressing media persons pwd minister sudhin dhavlikar said that though muthalik had not said anything on goans nor had criticized any community but had objected certain issues which were wrong in his community and therefore he felt muthalik was right in his views but reterated that the state government would not allow muthalik to take law in to his own hands

Dhavlikar said the ram sene was one of the group like other organizations and he was in total favor of closing pubs in the state of goa

Dhavlikar also stated that there was a need for every goan to take a call on how one could save goan traditional culture and certain unwanted things should be stopped in the state

01/07/2014 … In a bit to take care of the water wastage taking place in and around goa, the state government had decided to charge water tariff on water exceeding above 15 cubic meters being used for domestic purposes and the same could be implemented in the upcoming assembly session …

Addressing media persons pwd minister sudhin dhavlikar said that he had already discussed the issue with the state chief minister Manohar Parrikar and were in process of giving first 15 cubic meter free water which would have charges of water, water billing and sewerage connection charges while the above 15 cubic meter water charges would be charged at 7.50 paise per cubic meter

Dhavlikar said that with such initiatives there would be a control on the judicious use of daily use water from if goan’s state to feel the pinch of high water tariff bills and there would be a stop on commercial activities for which a common man using drinking water for commercial activities would have to pay an extra of rs 24 for per cubic meter

Dhavlikar also stated that the inquiry was going on those officers in his department who were giving pwd tenders to their close ones and the same were being rectified and strict action would be taken as per the law

30/06/2014 …Pwd minister sudhin dhavlikar on Monday said that the foundation stone for the new zuari bridge would be tentatively laid in the month of December …

Addressing media person’s pwd minister sudhin dhavlikar said that the total zuari bridge would be constructed by the central government which would not have toll fess for vehicles moving on the bridge

Dhavlikar said that the final report of the condition of the present zuari bridge was awaited in the next two months which would be submitted by the engineering college of farmagudi and presently there was no fear over the movement of vehicles playing on the bridge

29/06/2014 … Stating that no one was above the law Chief minister manohar parrikar on Saturday said strict action would be taken on those who would try to destroy peace and harmony of the state

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar was reacting on the statements made by congress president john Fernandes requesting chief minister to ban ram sene chief pramod muthalik under the national security act

Addressing media persons at his altinho residence chief minister Manohar parrikar said that his government would not allow anyone to take law in to their hands and would come crashing down on anyone who tries to do so

Commenting over the issue of power and water scarcity issues parrikar said that there were some problems which were being rectified and would be solved soon as possible

Parrikar welcomed the idea of the state congress party statement of leading a delegation to the assembly complex on the opening day of the assembly session which could help his government to perform better

Parrikar also informed about mining issues which would be addressed before the legal mining activities would start in the state

28/06/2014 ….In order to create awareness among goans about the price hike on railway fares in the country the state congress party had decided to lead an agitation of its party workers towards all the six railways stations in the state of goa on 7th July which is the opening day of the budget session in the parliament

Addressing media person’s gpcc president john Fernandes said that during the peaceful agitation taken out near the state railways stations his party members would demand for a roll back on railway fare to the prime minister of india shri narendra modi …

Fernandes said that his party would give a one week time for the bjp led government to solve the water and power problems of the state or else would lead an agitation in and around the city over the frequent power failures as well as water scarcity problems of the state

Fernandes also stated that a mass agitation would be lead to the state assembly complex led by goa desk incharge digvijay singh on the opening day of the state assembly session in the state

27/06/2014 …. Siddesh naik son of minister for state, tourism and culture government of india was on Friday unanimously elected unopposed in the bye elections in ward no one of the old goa village panchayat

The seat in ward no one of old goa village panchayat had left vacant after the administrative tribunal court in goa had disqualified the former panch pushparaj naik in last January for not paying taxes due to Panchayat

Though the elections were schedule to take place on 13th July,  Siddesh was elected unopposed after his rival candidate mahesh chandrakhant naik withdrew his name from the elections list …
