st andre mla carries out gmc and surrounding areas site inspection

4-march -2013 … St andre mla Vishnu surya wagh on Tuesday carried a joint site inspection of the goa medical college premises sewage treatment plant and raised serious objections over the functioning of the sewage treatment plant at gmc

The joint site inspection was carried along with the Villagers and panch members of  curca bambolim telaulim village Panchayat though having been informed officials of the goa medical college hospital remained absent at the joint site inspection

the local villagers informed the St andre mla about the problems they were facing due the seepage of the water from the gmc sewage water treatment entering in to their villages due to which locals well’s, septic tank’s were spoiled as well as small water ponds had been formed due to which there was a danger of mosquito breeding in the nearby wards

Speaking to media reporters st andre mla Vishnu wagh said that it was shocking to note that the gmc staff were working at the site of the sewage treatment plant without maintaining proper hygiene standards

 Wagh said that there were many lapses found in to the release of the sewage water treatment plant

 What’s more surprising was to note that even after the gmc officials being informed about the inspection none of the officials came at the site nor did not tried to find out as what a group of people which involved the st andre mla and local villagers were doing inside the campus of gmc hospital raising serious doubts about how the security systems is working in and out of the gmc complex ….

sardinha ask bjp to stop step motherly treatment

 Speaking to goanreporter gca president vinod phadke said that as tennis ball cricket tournaments were spoiling the game of season ball cricket tournaments gca would help those state cricket clubs who would like to organize village level season ball cricket tournaments so as to raise up the standard of season ball cricket in goa

state tourism minister expresses dis-satisfaction over central budget for state tourism department

1-mar-2013 …  Stating that the union budget presented by finance minister P Chidambaram on Thursday had nothing for the state tourism sector, Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar on Friday said that the 2013-2014 budget is 2014 lok sabha election-centric.

Speaking to goanreporter, tourism minister Dilip Parulekar said the budget had nothing for a common man and also neglected the tourism sector, particularly in goa.

 Mr Parulekar also said that the union government appeared to have forgotten that the two Goan  MPs had to approach people next year when the general elections were due. He however assured that the state budget would give adequate weightage the tourism sector in goa.

 Meanwhile, industries minister mahadev naik also expressed  his views on the budget

Speaking to media reporters after the central budget was announced president of goa chamber of commerce and industry manguirish pai raikiar said that though there were no direct benefits for goa from the budget there were indirect benefits and the finance minister had done in good job who had mentioned about improving communication with the industry

President of cii anil kher said that no major trust were addressed in the budget as no one was talking about investment, no talk on encouraging public sector companies while bulk of the budget was trying to take care of problems that had come up

 President of goa barge owner’s association atul jadhav also expressed his dissatisfaction over the budget saying that though lot of expectations were there for the mining affected people mr Chidambaram had not mentioned anything for them

Addressing a press conference at the party head office congress spokesperson sudip tamankar said that that was a need for the state government to take an advice from the Karnataka government who had implemented bhagyalakshi scheme on the lines on ladli laxmi scheme and had different modifications ….

state government to construct bridge from betim ferry wharf to panjim city says chief minister manohar parrikar

26-feb-2013 …. Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday stated that the State government has decided to construct bridge from Betim ferry wharf to Panjim and the work will commence by May-end.

The chief minister was speaking on the day of the birthday celebrations of porvorim mla rohan khaunte after laying the foundation stone for link road from Hero Honda Showroom to Training College at Porvorim.

Speaking on the occasion Parrikar said that the water situation at Assonora water treatment plant had improved and normalcy would be restored within eight days while the The link road of 1.5 kms from Hero Honda Showroom to Training College, costing Rs 3 crore, will be taken up immediately and will be completed by May 31.

Meanwhile Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte said that the present chief minister Manohar Parrikar had helped in all the ways to develop his porvorim constituency and in the next phase, the work of ground and panchayat ghar would be taken up.

WRD minister reterated the need of an inquiry in to the sub standard work carried out in to the tillari irrigation canal project

25-feb-2013 …. Water resources minister dayanand mandrekar on Monday once again reterated the need of an inquiry in to the sub standard work carried out in to the tillari irrigation canal project stating that there were possibilities of more breaches taking place towards the tillari canal

Mr mandrekar was speaking to media reporters on the occasion of the birthday celebrations of porvorim mla rohan khaunte where in mr mandrekar in the presence of mr khaunte laid the foundation stone for the flood control measures near church road along with torda, paithona creek and improvement to the existing nallah from palyekar field to the end of poi in salvador do mundo village panchayat costing a sum of the amount to over a crore of rupees …

Speaking on the occasion the water resources minister dayanand mandrekar said that though goa was facing a lot of water shortage due to the burst of the tillari canal he appreciated his officers of conducting war footing work for making arrangements of water to goan farmers …

Mandrekar raised question on ideas of those who had initiated the plans of getting water for the state of goa and stated that it was important for the state of goa if it had created its own independent water source at that time …
