Panaji : March 27, 2026::The Returning Officer (RO) for 21 Ponda AC, South Goa District has informed that the Election Commission of India, New Delhi has issued guidelines on Postal Ballot papers to the categories of Absentee Voters (AV), who have been given the facility of voting through Postal Ballot paper.The categories of Absentee Voters are senior citizens (above 85 years of age) (AVSC), Persons with disability flagged in the database for electoral roll (AVPD) and COVID 19 suspect or affected persons (AVCO). The schedule for voting by absentee voters in the category AVSC and AVPD above are as follows, for AVSC and AVPD category voting is scheduled from March 29, 2026 to March 31, 2026, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Similarly, separate polling teams will be visiting the registered address as given in Form 12D of the absentee voters in the AVSC and AVPD categories.

The Returning Officer (RO) for 21 Ponda AC, South Goa District has informed that the Election Commission of India, New Delhi has issued guidelines on Postal Ballot papers to categories of Electors on election Duty which have been given the facility of voting through Postal Ballot Paper.
The categories are as follows Polling Parties, Officials on Election Duty; Senior Magistrates, Flying Squad, ARO, AERO and other election related staff like private persons and Non- Government staff engaged in election work on the day of Poll and Police Personnel, Goa IRB and Home Guards on Election duty.
Voters on Election duty who have opted for Postal Ballot (PB) facility and duly applied in form-12 to the Returning Officer by March 27, 2026 will have to cast their vote on March 29, 2026, March 30, 2026 and March 31, 2026 at the Facilitation Centre; Court Room, Office of Mamlatdar of Ponda, 3rd Floor, Govt. Complex Building, Ponda, Goa.

Panaji : March 26, 2026:The Department of Civil Supply has informed that there is sufficient and regular supply of petrol and diesel available at oil terminals as well as LPG in the State, and there is no disruption in supply across the State. The situation is being monitored at the RO, District, State, and National levels. Therefore, there is no need to fear regarding the availability of petrol and diesel, and supply will continue as in the past without any disruption.
General Public is therefore requested to avoid unnecessary rushing to Petrol Pumps creating unwarranted fear and anxiety.

Panaji: March 25, 2026::The Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs will be conducting selection Trial in Table Tennis U-14 Boys & Girls to participate Goa State team for the 69th National School Games Championship to be held at Thyagraj stadium, Delhi from April 16 to 22, 2026.
The selection trials will be held on March 30, 2026 at Indoor Hall Campal from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. The incharge will be Shri. Sanjay Shirodkar, ZSO.
Eligibility for the selection trials for under 14 years; The players should be born on or after January 01, 2012, the selected players have to submit age verification test certificate (AVT) from the doctor along with the eligibility forms and the players U-14 should be students studying in std 12th or below, but not below 6th std. Similarly sports Card/School ID Cards are mandatory at the time of registration.
