A power shut down has been arranged on June 10, 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at 33 KV MES Feeder from Sancoale Substation to carry out urgent maintenance/construction work. Affected areas are HTC INS Hansa.
A power shut down has been arranged on June 11, 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at 11KV Cortalim Feeder from Verna Substation. Affected areas are Kira Paulo, HTC Toyota, Hotel Kesarwal, Soda Factory and surrounding areas.
Similarly, a power shut down has been arranged on June 12, 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at 11KV Vasco-2 Feeder from Sancoale Substation. Affected areas are Chicalim and Assoi.
Similarly, a power shut down has been arranged on June 13, 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at 33 KV MPT-1 and 33KV MPT-2 Feeder from Sancoale Substation. Affected areas are HTC Goa Shipyard Limited.

A power shut down has been arranged on June 10, 2026 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at 200 KVA Concrate DTC, Porvorim to carry out urgent maintenance works on Distribution Transformer Centre/ 11 KV Feeder. Affected areas are Concrate Building, Lima waddo and surrounding areas.
Similarly, a power shut down has been arranged on June 11, 2026 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at 200 KVA Cosme Costa Sernity DTC, Porvorim. Affected areas are Cosme Costa Building, Raj colony and surrounding area.
Also, a power shut down has been arranged on June 12, 2026 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at 200 KVA Esha Appt DTC, Porvorim. Affected areas are Esha Appartment, Bhutki waddo, Livarament waddo and surrounding area.
Goan Reporter:MEGA CAMP UNDER MHAJEGHAR YOJANA AT RAVINDRA BHAVAN, MARGAO ON JUNE 04, 2026
The District Administration, South Goa and Kushavati Districts, has informed that a Mega Camp under the Mhaje Ghar Yojana will be organized on June 04, 2026, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, to facilitate expeditious disposal of applications and provide assistance to applicants under the scheme.
All applicants who have submitted applications under the Mhaje Ghar Yojana are requested to attend the camp and make use of this opportunity. Applicants are advised to bring all supporting documents and any other records that may be pending or required for processing of their applications.
For the convenience of applicants, separate counters/sections will be established for each taluka. The Deputy Collectors and Mamlatdars of Salcete, Ponda, Mormugao, Quepem, Sanguem, Dharbandora and Canacona Talukas will be present at the camp to examine pending cases, verify documents and take necessary action for disposal of applications wherever possible. In addition, officers from the offices of the Administrator of Comunidades (South Zone), Block Development Office (BDO), Chief Officers of Municipal Councils, and Inspectors of Survey and Land Records (ISLRs) will also be present to provide necessary assistance and facilitate inter-departmental coordination for processing of applications.
The camp has been specially organized to resolve pending issues, collect deficient documents and ensure timely disposal of applications under the scheme. Applicants whose cases are pending due to non-submission of documents or other deficiencies are particularly requested to attend the camp with the requisite records. Thereafter, at around 11:30 a.m., the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, will distribute Certificates, Sanads, title documents and other orders issued under the Mhaje Ghar Yojana to eligible beneficiaries.
All applicants and members of the public are requested to avail themselves of this facility and extend their cooperation for the successful conduct of the programme.

Goan Reporter:AADHAAR NOT MANDATORY FOR ISSUANCE OF GOVERNMENT CERTIFICATES
Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has informed of the withdrawal of the Office Memorandum issued by them earlier which stated that issuance of certificates by Government Departments could be considered under the purview of Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act, as such certificates are used for determining eligibility for benefits, subsidies and services.
The communiqué further clarifies that the withdrawal shall operate prospectively and without any prejudice to actions already taken under the earlier Office Memorandum and that the withdrawal pertains only to the use of Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act in relation to issuance of certificates by the Government. It also further states that Aadhaar authentication or Aadhaar-based requirements should not be insisted upon for issuance of certificates merely on the basis of the withdrawn Office Memorandum.
