As the april 12^th lok sabha elections get close political parties are busy in garnering voters to vote for their respective candidates at various places in and around goa, the state congress party held one such meeting at the old goa village panchayat in cumbarjua constituency on Wednesday evening in support of the noth goa congress candidate ravi naik

Present on the occasion were congress north goa candidate ravi naik, gpcc president john Fernandes, cumbarjua mla pandurang madkaikar, ncp state president nilkhant halarnkar and over thousand of congress supporters

Speaking on the occasion north goa congress candidate ravi naik which asking for the support of the cumbarjua voters said that though the bjp party was crying highly on drugs issue the coastal belt of north goa had three mla’s from the bjp party itself and were trying to blame others

Meanwhile cumbarjua mla pandurang madkaikar and gpcc president john also asked voters to support the congress candidate so as to defeat communal forces out from the state of goa

After the Congress party has cracked the whip suspending four office bearers of Goa Pradesh Youth Congress committee, Navelim block the congress party now could also issue suspension order for some of the office bearers from cuncolim congress youth block who are believed to have been found to be doing anti party activities.

It may be noted that for on Tuesday for its anti- party activities, in the run up to the Lok Sabha elections, the officials of Indian Youth Congress has suspended four office bearers of Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Navelim block namely President Natasha Viegas, Vice President Wilson Miranda, and general secretaries Ashfaq Sayyed and Joslino Paixodo who were issued suspension orders based on evidence for campaigning in favour of Trinamool Congress candidate Churchill Alemao in South Goa.

Now Sources from the congress camp informed goa365 that officials of the goa state youth congress had informed its central congress leaders that some of the youth leaders from cuncolim congress block were also found to be working against the party and were campaigning for the south goat tmc candidate Churchill alemao …

Mr Fernandes said the he had restored the earlier committee which was illegally dissolved by the earlier gpcc president

Mr Fernandes also stated that even though there were certain people who being inside the party were doing anti party activities his party would still be able to win both the lok Sabha seats in the state

In a special meet which was called at the ccp conference hall the corporation has estimated a projected income of around 34,07,51,930.00 while the project expenditure has been estimated at 28,00,81,000.00

Speaking to media reporters ccp commissioner snajit rodrigues gave more details about the financial budget

Sanjit also stated that the corporation would also sign an agreement with the original lease owners in the Panjim market with the next few days

31/03/2014 …. Chief Minister manohar parrikar on monday said that there were certain people who were ignorant of law and were making baseless statements of political parties taking foreign funding

Mr parrikar was speaking to media reporters over the issue of media reports that foreign funds were given to political parties

Parrikar asked as how could one come to know that a certain political parties were funded by foreign company or not as long as it was deposited in to a particular bank account in india rupees which was not possible

Commenting over the media reports that if bjp party were elected to power at the centre than mr parrikar could be made the country’s home minister in the modi government mr Parrikar said that he had no interest to go at the centre as he was happy to serve goans as a chief minister of the state of goa

27/03/2014 ….. All the eight nominations forms filled up by respective candidates for the upcoming north goa lok Sabha seat were accepted by the Returning Officer and north goa Collector D.P. Dwivedi during the process of forms scrutiny on Thursday  

in the North Goa constituency with the deadline for filing of nominations for the April 12 Lok Sabha elections ending on Wednesday, sitting BJP MP Shripad Naik and his Congress challenger Ravi Naik are among eight candidates who have filed their nomination papers for North Goa Parliamentary constituency.

The final list of nominations as on Wednesday is as follows: Shripad Naik (BJP main candidate), Ravi Naik (Congress main candidate), Dayanand Narvekar (independent), Dattaram Desai (Aam Aadmi party), Suhas Naik (Communist party of India), Raju D’Souza (Samajwadi Janata party – Rastriya), Ranjitsingrao Rane (independent) and Mittu Mujawar (independent).

the last date for withdrawal of nominations is March 29 while the elections in Goa are scheduled for April 12 and the counting of votes in Goa will be done on May 16.

Meanwhile even though the office of the north goa collectorate has been busy in the process of lok Sabha elections its staff and employees have been facing a tough time due to the non availability of daily water in the collectorate building

Water shortage has been noticed for the past two days in and around the collectorate building which was not brought to the notice of the north goa collector D.P. Dwivedi

Presently the office building staff has been using the remaining water from the water storage tank for its daily use
