STATE LEVEL CRIB COMPETITION DURING CHRISTMAS

Panaji: November 16, 2018 … The State level Crib Competition has organized by Directorate of Art and Culture from December 26 to 31, 2018 in Goa.

The competition will be held in two categories, Institutions/Group Cribs made by institutions, clubs, parishes or by a group of people and Individuals/Household Cribs made at a house or beside the house by an individual or within a family.

The winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes along with the certificate. The prizes for Institution/Group Category are as follows: 1st Prize- Rs. 25,000/-, 2nd Prize- Rs.20,000/-, 3rd Prize- Rs. 15,000/- and Five Consolation Prizes of Rs. 7,000/- each. For Individuals/Household Category, the prizes are as follows: 1st Prize- Rs. 15,000/-, 2nd Prize- Rs.10,000/-, 3rd Prize- Rs. 7,500/- and Five Consolation Prizes of Rs. 5000/- each.

The interested may collect the application forms from November 22, 2018 from the office of the Directorate of Art and Culture, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, Ravindra Bhavan-Margao, Fatorda, Ravindra Bhavan-Curchorem, Curchorem, Ravindra Bhavan, Baina-Vasco, and submit the duly filled forms on or before December 11, 2018 at the above mentioned offices during working hours. Late entries will not be entertained.  

GCA TO CONSTRUCT INTERNATIONAL CRICKET STADIUM AT DHARGAL

Panaji, September 27, 2018  …. Minister for Sports and Youth affairs Shri Manohar alias Babu Azgaonkar handed over the lease agreement to Shri Suraj Lotlikar ,President of Goa Cricket Association (GCA) in connection with construction of   International cricket stadium at Dhargal in Pernem Taluka at Secretariat Porvorim recently.

Shri Azgaonkar stated that Goa Cricket Association will construct an international cricket stadium having a seating capacity of 35,000 spectators. GCA has assured to construct the stadium within three years from the commencement of work he added.Shri Azgaonkar further said it was dream of Legendary Cricketer, Late Shri Dilip Sardesai that Goan cricketers should play at national and international level. The stadium will help to make our locals prepare themselves to play  at national and international matches and accomplish the dream of Legendry cricketer Dilip Sardesai .

Azgaonkar further informed that the proposed stadium will be equipped to play all three formats of cricket i.e.  Test, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20. It will also have provision for cricket academy to train our young sportspersons. The stadium he said will go a long way in boosting sports as well as tourism in the state which in turn will help in development of Pernem Taluka he added.

HEALTHY CITIZEN HEALTHY NATION–GOVERNOR

Panaji: September 24, 2018 …. The Governor of Goa Dr.( Smt ) Mridula Sinha said that  the Ayushman Bharat PM –JAY ( Pradhan Mantri- Jan Arogya Yojana )  scheme is launched nationwide by the Prime Minister  ensures better health to weaker section of the society. She said this scheme will enable the poor and needy to secure their health .

 The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today launched nationwide,scheme Ayushman Bharat PM –JAY  and to mark the launching of the scheme a function was organized by the state  Government at National Institute of Oceanography  Dona Paula  today. Dr. Sinha was the Chief Guest for the same.

 The Governor also said that the people who deal with this scheme have to endeavor to reach the scheme to needy people to fulfill its noble objective and appealed to the people to avail the benefit of the scheme to live   healthy life  

The Health Minister Shri Vishwajeet Rane addressing at the function said that the mega scheme Ayushman Bharat PM –JAY will   benefit to the people in the state who are registered under DDSSY scheme. This scheme he said will be integrated with the existing DDSSY scheme   and efforts would be made to reach  the same to the   beneficiaries.  He also said the Ayushman Bharat PM –JAY scheme of the central Government which ensures health cover of  Rs. 5 lakh  to the beneficiary. This scheme will help in saving  lives of many people in the country and  will prove boon  to weaker section of the society  in future  he added.   

Minister for PWD Shri Ramkrishna ( alias ) Sudin Dhavalikar  in his address said that  no nation can make progress without good health therefore health and prosperity are lined together .  The concern of the Prime Minister is to provide better health facilities to people in the country and therefore the health cover of Rs. 5lakh provided  under this scheme. The  initiatives taken by  Government like digital India, Make in India, Skill India intends to transform India in to a developed and vibrant India he informed.  

Minister for Town & Country Planning Shri Vijay Sardessai while speaking on the occasion said that the scheme Ayushman Bharat PM –JAY, launched by the Central Government has a vision to provide affordable health services to the  common  man in the country.  He said more than half of the population of our country is young and our Prime Minister intends to utilize their talent and energy for the prosperity and strength of the nation. The concern of state Government he said is also to provide better and affordable medical services to the people for which steps have been initiated by the Government to provides medical  facilities  upgrades  strengthen  infrastructure for health sector  from time to time

 Member of Parliament  for South Goa  Shri Narendra  Savoikar speaking on the occasion informed that  the Central Government headed by the Prime Ministe Shri Narendra Modi  have done vast  infrastructural development besides providing  due attention to improve quality education , health services, employment to the people in the country.  He said Ayushman  Bharat  PM –JAY which is launched nationwide   is the biggest scheme not only in the country but also in the world, Under this scheme  around 10.74 crore population covered and have  ensured  life cover of Rs,5lakh.

The Governor and other dignitaries handover Golden Cards of  Ayushman Bharat  PM –JAY scheme to  18 beneficiaries  registered under  the scheme. 

 Chief Secretary Shri Dharmendra Sharma, Dean  of Goa Medical College Dr.Pradeep Naik, Staff  of Health Department, GMC and others attended the function.

GOVERNOR TO LAUNCH PRADHAN MANTRI JAN AROGYA YOJANA ON SEPT 23

Panaji, September 22, 2018 … The Governor will launch Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY)on September 23, 2018 at 11.30 am at Dr. S. Z. Quasim Auditorium, NIO, Dona Paula.

Union Minister of State for Aayush (IC) Shri Sripad Naik, Minister for Public Work Department Shri Ramkrishna Dhavlikar, Minister for Town and Country Planning Shri Vijay Sardesai, Minister for Revenue Shri Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Art and Culture Shri Govind Gaunde, Minister for Health Shri Vishwajeet Rane, Member of Parliament Shri Narendra Sawaikar, Member of Rajyasabha, Shri Vinay Tendulkar and others will grace the function.

State Health Agency has been created under National Health Mission/Goa State Health Society. Total of 36539 families Rural 21371 and Urban: 15168 are Eligible for PMJAY for Goa. List of all these eligible population is available at respective Panchayats and Health Units under Directorate of health services.

Currently to start with 4 Hospitals i.e. GMC, Both District Hospitals and Sub District Hospital, Ponda has been already empanelled and are ready for launch. Subsequently other Public hospitals as well as Private Hospitals will be registered and empanelled.

All the 447 procedures under DDSSY will be also available at empanelled private hospitals under PMJAY at same rates prescribed under DDSSY. Accordingly final package list consist of 1509 and all these packages will be available under PM-JAY at public hospitals.  Arogya Mitra been identified and trained for all 4 Empanelled Hospitals.

Arogya Mitra is the first point of contact for the beneficiaries to avail any services at empanelled hospitals & will be available at DDSSY/PMJAY kiosk at these hospitals. Beneficiaries to contact Arogya Mitras even for registration and generating E-Card or Golden record.  

TOURISM MINISTER DISTRIBUTES SANCTION LETTERS OF LADLI LAXMI

Panaji, September 22, 2018 …. Minister for Tourism Shri Manohar Alias Babu Azgaonkar distributed sanction letter of Ladli Laxmi Scheme to 30 beneficiaries from Pernem Taluka at a function held at Pernem recently.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Azgaonkar said irrespective of income, scheme like Ladli laxmi have eased the financial burden.The financial help is also to ensure that a girl´s marriage is not be a burden on parents he said  

Shri Azgaonkar also praised Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar for launching various schemes like Griha adhar, Dayanand Social Security scheme and also appealed to pray for the speedy recovery of the Chief Minister.Various upcoming projects like Ayush Hospital, International Stadium, Mopa airport, Ravindra Bhavan will help in generating employment to the locals of Pernem he added.

HELPLINE TO MONITOR ILLEGAL SAND MINING

Panaji, September 21, 2018 …. The Collectorate North Goa has set up helpline at North Goa Collectorate Office for redressal of complaints pertaining to illegal sand mining.

The special control room has been set up by the North Goa Collectorate,     on first floor, the phone numbers are 2225383/2225083. The helpline which is set up for disaster management purpose will also function as helpline for the purpose.

This is with reference to the directions issued by High court of Bombay with regards to monitoring of sand mining and illegal sand extraction by the state Government.

PANAJI ITI’S INDUCTION PROGRAM HELD

Panaji ::: September 14, 2018 …. The faculty of Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Altinho Panaji conducted Induction program for its newly admitted students recently.

Union Minister for AYUSH (Independent Charge-IC) Shri. Shripad Naik was the Chief Guest while Chairman of Institute Management Committee (IMC), Panaji ITI Shri. Gaurish Dhond were the Guest of honor. Shri. Aleixo F. da Costa, Director of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri. Savio Pascal Fernandes and Smt. Charlotte Srivastava- IMC members were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister urged the students to make the best use of their trade and focus on self-employment. “The Skill India program by the Central Government aims in helping the youth to stand on his/her own. ITI trades are a stepping stone towards a bright future. If one has a passion for the trade, he/she can achieve laurels in their career,” the Minister said.

Earlier, the program began with lighting the traditional lamp. Principal Shri. Sandeep Naik gave the welcome address. Shri. Aleixo Costa and Shri. Dhond spoke on the occasion. An ex-student Shri. Rajendra Tari shared his experiences with the students. Shri. Yatin Gawas administered the trainee’s pledge to the students while Smt. Caroline Araujo and Shri. Mario Monteiro read reports on training. Shri. Remedios da Silva compered the program and proposed the vote of thanks.

The function was attended by faculty members and trainees.

SRIPAD NAIK HIGHLIGHTS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF AYURVEDA THERAPY

Panaji. :::: September 12, 2018 … Union Minister of State for Ayush (Independent charge) Shri Shripad Naik has said that the good health is a way of life; therefore Ayurveda is also one of the alternatives for other systems of medicines to maintain good health and to live a healthy life.

Shri Naik was speaking at the Valedictory function of Ayurvedic Neuro Therapy free medical camp at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali today.

Around 100 Ayurvedic Doctors from different states have come together to treat patients of neurological illnesses.

Present on the occasion were Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, Dr. Pramod Sawant, Shri Rajesh Patnekar, MLA, Bicholim, President of North Goa Zilla Panchayat, Smt. Ankita Navelkar, Dr Manoj Sharma, Mamlatdar,  Shri Pandit,  Shri Sripad Arlekar,  Member Secretary, Ravindra Bhavan, Shri Satyavijay Naik and others.

 The camp is organised by Matrubhumi Seva Pratishthan in association with Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali, Deendayal Pratishthan, Directorate of Health Services, Sai Health Care Foundation, Sankhali.

 Stressing on Ayurveda, Shri Naik said it is a holistic lifestyle system that teaches the practical details of the arrangement of food and the body work, which aims to achieve balance of body and mind.

 Speaking on the occasion Dr. Pramod Sawant, said lot of development has been noticed in the Ayurveda which helps in giving instant relief to the visiting patients. He said, various such camps have been organised for the people in North Goa, for which he complimented the Union Minister of State for Ayush.

 Dr Manoj Sharma assured the patients who had come for medical camp that services will be provided as expected.

SPECIAL DRIVE AND SPECIAL CAMPAIGN FOR VOTER ENROLLMENT

Panaji: September 08, 2018 …. The Election Commission has been constantly endeavoring to improve the fidelity of electoral rolls with focused efforts for maximization of registration of eligible electors and removing the impurities in the rolls drive for which is already underway since September 1, 2018.

This year, the Commission has decided to utilise the period of continuous updation, for maximisation of enrolment of eligible young electors, particularly in the 18-19 age group, by launching a Special Drive in all States.

The Special Drive will begin on September 09, 2018 and will be completed by October  31, 2018.

The Election Commission has made available the Electoral Rolls for scrutiny for the members of the public from 01-09-2018 (Saturday) till 31-10-2018 (Wednesday) in the premises of the respective Polling Stations where last election for Parliamentary Constituencies and Assembly Constituencies were held. The Electoral Rolls are also available for scrutiny in the Offices of the concerned Deputy Collectors and Electoral Registration Officers of Pernem, Bicholim, Mapusa, Panaji, Ponda, Margao, Vasco-da-Gama, Quepem, Dharbandora and Canacona and also in the Offices of all the Mamlatdars/Joint Mamlatdars/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers in the State of Goa.

All Indian citizens who are entitled to be included in the Electoral Rolls are requested to scrutinize the Draft Electoral Rolls and in case their names do not figure in the said Draft Electoral Rolls and those who may have attained the age of 18 years of age as on 01-01-2019 as qualifying date are requested to get their names included in the Electoral Rolls in accordance with the procedure stated below.

As required under Rules 13 and 14 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, all claims and objections for inclusion of names or objections to the particulars in entries in the Electoral Rolls should be made in Forms 6, 6A, 7, 8 and 8A, as the case may be and should either be presented to the concerned Electoral Registration Officers, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers or to such other officials as may be designated in this behalf, by due date.

The Electoral Registration Officers have also appointed Designated Officers at the respective Polling Stations.  The above claims and objections in prescribed forms 6, 6A, 7, 8 and 8A, as the case may be, duly completed will be accepted from 01-09-2018 (Saturday) till 31-10-2018 (Wednesday) in the above-mentioned offices of EROs and AEROs and by the Booth Level Officers appointed for the purpose, at the respective Polling Stations.

          All claims and objections received upto 31-10-2018 will be duly considered and disposed off by the concerned Electoral Registration Officers in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.

The Public in general and the Political Parties in particular are requested to scrutinize the said Draft Electoral Rolls and to take steps to get names included or corrected, for which the time limit is upto 31-10-2018 (Wednesday).

The Election Commission has also informed the General public that to enrol as new voter  apply online on www.nvsp.in or visit ERO at nearest taluka mamlatdar office or polling station on special campaign day on September 09, 2018 and October 07, 2018.

The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs invites applications from active and performing Individuals and Voluntary Institutions having rendered commendable service in the area of Youth development work for conferring the National Youth Award for the year 2016-17. Outstanding work in the field of national development and social service in the field of Health, Research and Innovation, Culture, Promotion of Human Rights, Art and Literature, Tourism, Traditional Medicines, Active Citizenship, Community Service, Sports and Academic excellence and Smart learning.

 Youth between the age of 15and 29 years are eligible to apply for the Individual Award.

The other relevant rules and conditions for eligibility inclusive of the specimen of the application form have been uploaded on the official website of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, www.dsya.goa.gov.in Interested Youth may  download the same or alternatively, a hard copy of the specimen of the application form could be obtained from Smt. Lisette Camara, APEO of the Youth Section of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Campal, Panaji during office hours on any working day before September 3, 2018.

 The duly filled-in applications of eligible Youth/Voluntary Agencies, complete in all respects, enclosing certificates and only relevant documents etc. of achievements of the concerned candidate/Youth club/NGO may be submitted to the Office of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Campal, Panaji on or before September 4, 2018, positively.  

Applications received after September 4, 2018 will not be considered
