Chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar along with its state bjp vinay tendulkar held a meeting with its party mla’s to chalk out strategy for the upcoming state assembly session which begins on Monday

Speaking to goanreporter state bjp president vinay tendulkar said that the party mla’s had unanimously resolved to hand over the jica briber case to the central bereau of investigation

Chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar said that he had asked the concerned police officials to complete the preliminary report as soon as possible

Meanwhile st andre mla Vishnu surya wagh said that there was a need to inquire all such projects that were implemented during congress rule

On Thursday a meeting was held at the chief minister residence at altinho which included chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar, environment minister alina saldanha, calangute mla Michael lobo, velim mla Benjamin silva and member of the force movement wherein it discussions on introduction of moi bill was discussed

where in after the meet sources informed goanreporter that representatives of force were not satisfied with the reply given by chief minister of asking for more time before the moi bill could be introduced in the upcoming assembly session

Speaking to goanreporter deputy chief minister who arrived late after the meet said that though he was not present for the moi meeting with chief minister he said though he has heard that the moi bill would not be brought up in the coming assembly session the same could be brought in the next assembly session as the issue had been passed in the cabinet and an assurance had been given by the state government which had to be followed

Mr dsouza said that it was due to everyone’s negligence that the bill was not been able to be introduced in the coming assembly session

Meanwhile calangute mla Michael lobo said that since the bill had been sent to select committee who had to then sent it to the chief minister and there were still some issues that the committee had thought of going on through due to which chief minister Parsekar had asked for more time

It may be noted that Goans For Dabolim Only on Thursday had hit out against the Mopa airport project. And asked that the mopa project not only be scraped but also investigated thoroughly.

While the state bjp party on Thursday refuted allegations levelled by the Congress and former PWD minister Churchill Alemao that the contract for the Mopa consultancy was awarded by BJPand had demanded an investigation into awarding the consultancy for the Mopa airport and also a review of all the reports submitted by Louis Berger to the Goa government.

But Speaking to goanreporter in a different voice deputy chief minister francis dsouza said that the issue of mopa had been there for every elections and therefore certain sections of vested interest had used mopa issue for unwanted reasons

Mr dsouza said that he did not found any reason as why there had to be a re-think on mopa consultancy ..

Both Kanitkar and Ratra along with GCA president Chetan Desai and other officer bearers were present during the announcement made at state cricket body’s headquarters in Porvorim.

It may be noted that the CID-crime branch on late Tuesday night had registered an FIR under corruption and criminal conspiracy charges against some minister in the 2010 state government and Louis Berger International Inc, in connection with the JICA bribery scam.

the case has been registered under Sections 1, 8, 9 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act and 120-B criminal conspiracy of IPC

The Louis Berger scam follows the revelation in the US that the New Jersey-based firm had paid a bribe to a Goa minister for a consultancy contract for Japan international cooperation agency  water supply project five years ago.
