A power shut down has been arranged on April 03, 2026 from 09.00 am to 02.00 pm at Jayceenagar T/C, Ponda to carry out urgent maintenance works. Affected areas are Jaycee Nagar and surrounding areas.

Also, a power shut down has been arranged on April 03, 2026 from 02.00 pm to 06.00 pm at Paunwada T/C, Ponda to carry out urgent maintenance works. Affected areas are Paunwada, Betalwada and surrounding areas.

Similarly, a power shut down has been arranged on April 04, 2026 from 09.00 am to 02.00 pm at Prabhunagar Old T/C, Ponda to carry out urgent maintenance works. Affected areas are Prabhunagar and surrounding areas.

Goan Repporter:REGISTRATION OF WARKARI GROUPS FOR PANDHARPUR WARI

Panaji: April 01, 2026::The Directorate of Art & Culture, has commenced the registration process of Warkari groups (Dindis) from Goa under the Scheme for Assistance to Warkaris from Goa, instituted to support and recognize the longstanding devotional tradition of Goan Warkaris participating in the annual Pandharpur Wari. The scheme seeks to facilitate organized participation of Warkaris through a structured and transparent framework while preserving the cultural and spiritual heritage associated with the Warkari Sampradaya.

All Dindi incharge are requested to submit duly filled Registration Forms along with required documents within the prescribed timeline. The Registration Form is available on the official website of the Directorate of Art & Culture, www.artandculture.goa.gov.in. The last date for submission of applications is May 10, 2026.

Goan Reporter:CIVIL SUPPLIES DIRECTS SUPPLY OF 60% LPG TO COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS

Directorate of Civil Supplies has directed all the Oil Marketing Companies (OMC’S) operating in Goa to arrange & supply 60% of commercial LPG to the commercial establishment immediate effect as per the directives issued by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

Due to ongoing geopolitical development and war crises the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas have issued various guidelines and directions regarding supply of LPG for domestic and commercial purpose.

Earlier, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas communicated to all the States that the supply of commercial LPG will be restricted to 20% only. Subsequently additionally 20% commercial LPG was allotted for use of hotels and restaurants, etc. Further another 20% of commercial LPG is allocated for use of industrial purpose.

Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship has declared, SCVT (All Goa Trade Test) Results under CTS(Craftsmen Training Scheme) and DST(Dual System of Training), Supplementary examination held in January, 2026 & Results under CTS(Craftsmen Training Scheme), Six months duration, Batch-1, February, 2026.

The announcement includes results for the examination categories such as 6 Month Duration Trades(Regular Trainees)-Non-Engineering-Batch-1, September, 2025 to January, 2026, YEAR-I/First year (CTS Trade) (2 year duration Trades-Engineering) (Ex-failed Trainees)-Batch: Batch:2024-2026, YEAR-II/Second year (CTS Trade) (2 year duration Trades-Engineering) (Ex-failed Trainees)-Batch:Batch:2023-2025 & earlier sessions, One Year Trade-CTS(Regular trainees-Engineering), Batch:2024-2025, One Year (CTS Trades) (Regular trainees-Non Engineering), Batch:2024-2025, One Year (DST Trades) (Regular trainees- Non Engineering), Batch:2024-2025.

It is further informed that in accordance with the norms of NCVT re-evaluation of OMR sheets is not permitted as the OMR Sheets are scanned by computer leaving no scope for errors.

Goan Reporter:HEATWAVE AND MONSOON PREPAREDNESS REVIEWED

Panaji: April 01, 2026::The Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Revenue), Shri Sandip Jacques, IAS, reviewed the State’s preparedness for heatwave conditions with temperatures steadily rising as well as the upcoming monsoon season in a meeting with senior officials and laid strong emphasis on proactive and coordinated measures to safeguard the public from heat-related risks.

Shri Jacques stressed the urgency of timely and coordinated interventions to mitigate the impact of heatwaves, urged authorities to sensitise the public to remain alert, adopt necessary precautionary measures to stay safe during extreme heat conditions, directed all departments to appoint Nodal Officers at the State and district levels to ensure prompt response and effective coordination in addressing any emerging issues and emphasised that officials must remain alert, vigilant, and responsive during such situations.

Shri Jacques called for intensified campaigns on the dos and don’ts during heatwaves through multiple communication platforms, highlighting the importance of public awareness, also directed that adequate arrangements be made at public places, including the provision of safe drinking water and first-aid facilities, to support people during periods of extreme heat, also urged officials of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue timely alerts on rising temperatures and disseminate advance warnings to enable the public to take necessary precautions and avoid venturing outdoors unless absolutely necessary.

During the meeting, line departments presented a detailed outline of the Heatwave Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and highlighted key action points to be implemented in the presence of Collector, North Goa, Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS; Joint Secretary (Revenue), Shri Surendra Naik; and other senior officials.

Gaon Reporter:MOBILE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN VAN IN NORTH & SOUTH GOA

Mobile Awareness Campaign Van will be made available for North and South Goa by the Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, National Association for the Blind (NAB), Goa State Branch and KTCL (Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited).

 

The objective of this initiative is to create awareness about accessible technology, rights, and empowerment of persons with visual impairment, especially in rural areas of Goa.

 

The Mobile Campaign Van will visit Bicholim & Valpoi (North Goa) on April 01, 2026 and Margao (South Goa) on April 02, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

 

The campaign aims to educate the public on assistive technologies, promote inclusion, and encourage independence among persons with visual impairment.
